Anyone Else notice the Jump - 10,480 Domains For Sale - At Pool Now ...

They have bounced up and down over the past , but this is a Drastic Jump !

.pw does seem to have an interesting twist on the affiliate concept. They only allow one affiliate per second level domain. So, if I'm the affiliate for smith.pw, I get a commission for every sale made in the smith.pw domain. There is no need to have a referral link or even a web site.

I can think of some interesting groups that I can market here for a nice little business.

I read though their info, and yes it may be possible. However, it's expensive to "sponsor" [not own] one of these domains, and they have the right to revoke you if they don't like the way you've marketed it. Then there's the whole idea of getting people to BUY third level domains or hosting there, which is not much different than the original .name intentions which I believe are mostly a big bust.

You may be right. I personally feel that .name was a great concept and simply threw in the towel too soon. .pw appears to have improved on their concept in several respects. I like the wildcarding aspect of it. I also like that as a sponsor, I have a monopoly on the community I choose to sponsor. the cost to "sponsor" is about $100. This means to break even, you'd have to sell about 20 names. This shouldn't be too tough with certain groups like surnames or alumni groups that can number in the millions.

I listed some of my names. That is why it jumped up so much.... I wish.

Their # of Domains for sale went as high as 49,000 + ....... And now is back down to 5,000 +

Large jumps and falls within a short period ..........
