domain $1.26 for 46 good domains?

I have tried my hand at politics in the past months and had terrible results. Listed them just about everywhere and no bites at any price. What is the problem with political domains? Sedo staill has not sold kerryedwards.com and they won't. I think there is an overall lack of excitment in politics this year. Some of my domains are dated (2004) but others I find great. We decided to stick all 46 on eBay with no minimum and no reserve and now have a whopping bid of 1.26. Why can these domains not sell at better prices? We all know there is money in politics. The domains are good, here is the list:

Thoes names should have picked-up some $ if thoes were auctioned a year before the election. I guess it's too late to use thoes for development as publicity and indexing takes time. IMO... political domains are "speculator/s" gambling.

Now you've just realise how the domain name game works... some ups and downs...

I've used to reg and sold Alexadra Kerry domains before... hoping that I'll pickup some little profit... i've sold each on all major ext at low-mid$xxx after realising that the Cannes issue is over. Not bad after profiting some $10-20/each...

Better forget thoes names and just think that you've lost a gamble... As I've said... it's too late, the election is nearing and after that, thoes domains are wothless.

Really though, its a hard lesson. Ive done it too, but mine was with a typo in like 5 diff extensions.

Yours isnt that bad, just a tad late.

Theres a few there you can still use though and have a current and future market for. Like they said, park them on sedo or domainhop.

Ive had auctions cancell my bid before. the seller will email you telling you why the bid is being cancelled by them (for mine being cancelled they said because they sold the car on the street)...

Eitherway, he has the option of having someone pony up the bids for him to protect his investment.

mm, i wouldnt consider it "shilling" or whatever. It's not like he is trying to jack up his bidders bids. He is just trying to protect his investment. (imho)

I wouldnt fault him for that either... though I do suppose that is a point for conjecture.

I doubt parking them would make much money. Politics is not the best paying criteria for any program I know of. Sedo shows KerryEdwards.com as recieving an average of 20 or so hits a day which from my opinion would not convert too well if your justing using it for PPC. IMO there was only one major potential end user and it doesnt look like they are too interested. Those names you have would be great for developing but reseller wise, I havent seen too many political names fetch much. Good Luck

Maybe people aren't interested in typing in candidates names in more than the easiest of ways for campaign info. Plus, with under 60 days left, the 2004 ones are worth a lot less now.
