I understand why 4 is bad, and @daoyouqingliubu has explained a little that domains with and without a 4 will both sell, but with a price difference. I don't understand why 0 is bad. Can somebody explain that to me? Is a 6N.com palindrome beginning and ending with 0 worth $50?

By the way, which one is better:

(a) 6N with "0" & without "4", or
(b) 6N with triple "8" (888) with "4"?

Yes. But don't sell it now. Wait for some time and you will get much more.

Everybody says 4 and 0 is bad numbers but nobody talk about combos. No, 4 and 0 are not bad numbers, there is no bad numbers but there is a lot of bad combos. For example, 1, 7 and 5 are bad as 4, and in some combos even worst.

If you check NameBio you will see many 6N sales with 4 and 0, much more than 1, 5 and 7, and for much more money.

Chinese culture is a bit complicated for western people and don't forget, there is a big difference between Cantonese and Mandarin.

Agree, 54 is a good combo actually since it negates the original meaning of 4.. (no death)
but lots of chinese investors honestly don't shy away that much from a 4 anymore if the complete sequence/pattern generally looks good enough

Just create the market. Go register about 500 "best" ones of available 100 000. Then keep registering another 500 of "better" ones evenly stretched over next month or so, while creating hype on forums and in media that this is the new big thing and Chinese in fact love dash in between (find supporting legend, preferably) and posting regularly how many are left now. Watch others join the "gold rush" and post even more on how fast they disappear. And once the buyout is complete and floor is formed, sell some of your better ones to get multiple of your investment and sit on your "gold" ones for better offers from party-late-joiners. )

They are ok but nothing is jumping out at me, don't forget the aftermarket here, some names are good value at the moment and worth acquiring while at a cheap price. Remember you will need to renew all these. The question is would it be better to get one good name instead of 19 average names. You have 8's so that helps. Time will tell I guess, good luck

I dont know whats going on....2 days ago it was still easy to get 7n...today its hard to find ones with 8s in it... hopefully america is preserving names ...else we we all will work for the chinese soon. will china use these as phone numbers in the long run? voip?

If a domain can be tied into a phone identity ,.... big bonus. Thats why long names don't scare me. Although they still need good patterns repeating triples etc
