My websites below are getting a very low CTR:
www.pcfastlane.com
www.gsreview.com

I need help desperately improving my CTR! None of my visitors seem to like clicking on ads, even though I get 600-1000 ad impressions a day!

A good deal of my traffic comes from news websites. These visitors do not click on ads.

What are some tips for improving ad performance and how can I get visitors who do click on ads? What am I doing wrong? I'm very frustrated here.

Don't use 468x60 ads.

Those notoriously have low CTR.

Use one of the square ones and put it in the middle of your article.

How does pcfastlane.com look now?

I made it so I have articles on the left side and ads on the right. Both the articles and ads look similar.

Its a little better, but try to put some square ads in the middle of your articles. Also remove the borders.

there are some interesting articles on google adsense site by existing users that say how they mix there ads into their websites. This might be of use to you.

I would suggest, blending your ads to look like a part of your article with titles of Google Adsense having same color and size as that of any link in your site. This should be enough to give you a needed CTR boost. Also, using square at top and text links ads in articles will give you good CTRs IMHO>
