Those are general useful abbreviations to those new to the net world.

I would say DNS is domain name system rather than servervs. I guess most people here have heard/seen the phrase DNS server. Now reading that as domain name server server wouldn't make much sense.

I also took a look through define:dns on google to see that most reliable sources confirm my thought.
