Well looks like Payapal won't be refunding me my stolen money, here is their excuse:

Dear Paul Reichelt,

We have concluded our investigation into the following buyer complaint:

Case ID: *****************
Transaction Date: Jan. 24, 2005
Transaction Amount: -$80.00 USD
Seller's Email: [email protected]
Seller's Name: Joe Curt

After careful review, we have determined that the seller is at fault but
regret to inform you that we were unable to recover any funds from the
seller's account.
As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds
associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Now what is BS, is prior to them taking more then 10-Days to help me, I specifically named the users other fraudulent account which held money stolen from me & others. The user still had a significant chunk of unspent cash, so if paypal is not giving me my money back then who gets my money? Other people who were ripped off? If so what criteria is used to decide who gets help?

I just called them, and they blew me off saying that they can't involve the persons other Paypal Accounts, althrough that is where money stolen from me lies.

This sucks big-time, however contacting a local TV-Station to see what they can do about it.

paypal does that alot, over the past 2 years my acct has been froze numerous times for what they call "suspicous activity " which is sending and receiving payments.
sorry to hear your situation. Definitely contact tv station, then send paypal and email for the date and time to watch the story.

Yah, $80.00 bites, but it isnt a "backbreaker". At least I said 1/2 & 1/2, instead of a full $160.00 :o

What angers me most is a member of WHT, but I tried to use the proper channels and got burned.

Well, His namecheap account houses 6 domains that he purchased with money stolen from me :|

Well lookie here. I think he slipped up guys, and this most recent batch of info on him looks legit. He appears to be Canadian, can someone from the great northern country tell me if this stuff appears to be clean :)

Nope, he/she/it mentions Ontario and Quebec which are both provinces in Canada so it dont look right.

PayPal is starting to really suck, I hope a better Company comes around soon, one that protects buyers and sellers.

Yep, I wouldnt mind paying more for additional protection.

The user still had a significant chunk of my money unspent in his locked/closed PP account. What happens to that? Paypal told me they can't comment on other users accounts :P

Hold on - the domains are in the other users NC account? Contact NameCheap, they got a domain back for me in similar circumstances.

Yet again, I repeat my suggestion to stay far away from PayPal, besides those little piddl'n transactions that it's ok for.
Sellers, never accept.
Users, don't give them your bank account info (EVER), you have no protection (Credit cards, you at least have some legal rights).
