Looks like Joy_dot_com just sold on AfterNIC for $1200. Is it me or did the buyer get away with murder?

Yeah I think that joy.com is worth much more then $1200. But I think the seller killed himself instead.

That's an extremely low and ridiculous price on a great premium domain like that. The seller apparently is not experienced in the game and had no idea of the value/potential that joy.com has. Could easily go for $xx,xxx - $xxx,xxx. They took a shot in the foot and I bet they wish they could do it all over again. :o

The buyer definitely got away with a heck of a steal there, wish I would of saw it. :gl:

I agree with your appraisal. In fact, as soon as I saw this on AfterNIC 10 minutes ago I registered www.Joy.tv. :notme: I was surpised to find it available.

Yeah that's insane. I've never had a 3 letter .com and the cheapest ones I see now are like 2-3k for some useless combination such as qmz.com. To sell joy.com for $1200 is barely giving away tens of thousands of dollars. Oh well.

Interesting, very interesting. Vinfus brought up a good point. I don't think they would sell the domain name of a huge company employing 4500 people and to have sold it for $1200. Something is not right.

More scams! How discouraging. I think the people @ AfterNIC need to improve their screening process! They need to emulate the Great Domains methodology of verifying the ownership of a domain before listing it. Now, this would be time consuming--and cost them money--because I don't think it could be done with scripting, but all these scams are getting out of control.
