Hi dudes,

I have bought short email address than domain from email.biz is it right or wrong for me because mostly people buys domain.

All the short domains are already reserved and not available so i decided to buy emails. Its new trend started to sell short & premium emails than domains.I have seen on many websites which provide same thing.

i feel the domain is actually great... but selling emails is a no go. What you can do is make a list of first names and something like john[at]emails[dot]biz, jenny[at]emails[dot]biz etc and then you might sell those emails as a package with some special addons. Might work, might not.

lol the funny part here is that the guy failed to explain you the concept of email.biz

Email.biz offers you around 27,000 domains to choose your email from for example
[email protected]
[email protected]
stuff like that

I see no business model in selling e-mail adresses. As mentioned that show was over years ago... These days there are plenty of great free options out there and close to all web hosts and domain registrars will throw in free e-mail addresses on your own domain.

Rather I see a business model in providing good e-mail hosting platforms you can use on your own domains just like the ones offered by Google and Microsoft. Not sure on the current market but I guess several organisations would like to outsource their e-mail to web based easy to use platforms with strong encryption and scalable options etc.

I'm more of a fan of long email addresses. If I can secure a memorable name @abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijk.com, I will. :D

Just kidding. I prefer using my company domain name of DJW.net; which not only shows authority, but short as well.

I don't think a .biz email would be memorable. Let's say that you name is John Smith and you're a private personal trainer. If you didn't happen to have your business card on you and said your email address was jsmith [ at ] athletics.biz; supposing they were interested, they would more than likely send it to .com which could impact your business. Furthermore, having it on a business card, people may even type .biz.com just because .biz isn't as recognized as the top 3 (com/net/org) IMO. O_o

I find it kind of odd that they are allowed to operate an email address of @android.biz. I sense a feeling that Google will come down on them soon for that one and anyone already invested in the email address with flyers, etc. made, will lose out. D-:

If you want it short, buy a nice LLLL.com that can be easily memorized. Acronyms are great to get people to remember things as well.

Good luck. :)
