might anyone hazard a guess what the domain War(.)com might lead to? I was doing some research on the name "Warrior" because it was the Mascot name for my High School, and while doing that I thought I'd just check to see what the website war.com might have to say?

Just as a point of information, war is offensive to most everyone, but does that mean we need to remove it or anything associate with it from our vocabulary? I'm confused:xf.frown:

War is a 3 character single word domain name = hugely premium.

@ThatNameGuy if War dot com was in your account and under your name you'd be loving it, you'd go to bed at night and think about it during the day how you own potenitally a 6 figure+ asset and you'd be on here talking it up, so I'm not sure what this thread is about.

It could be used by NGO as a website that campaigns against wars. The pioneers would document wars, maybe genocides and murders and then write articles advising people to desists from whatever that would lead to war.

I couldn't agree more....what this thread was about is sharing my surprise when keying the domain War.com, and the site it went to didn't have anything to do with War? It would be like keying in Sex.com and it led to a site selling pinafores or stamps.

Basically you are telling people how to use thier domains, what should they host. It does not matter what you wish you should have seen.If it bothers you that much to open up a thread for that, buy the domain and put info you always want war.com to have.
PS: There are hundreds of domains that mean something for someone in some culture in some country but that hardly matters to the registrant. He will put what he wants. You could wish purple.com giving info about color purple but does it?

What in the world are you talking about? Did I say it bothered me? Did i tell you how to use your domains?
You sir are way to sensitive about this. I just found it strange that the the domain War.com didn't take you to a site that sold war video games, told the history of war, or at the very least promoted peace by showing the horrors of war. I have ZERO problem with the domain taking me to the band called "War". I was just surprised that a domain possibly worth many millions of dollars led to a band from the 60's that few people today have ever heard of. Aren't you ever surprised about anything in life:xf.rolleyes:....seriously?

So how do you think about mine, war.money (war and money)?

It is now showing some band/music details.

The domain is highly valuable for for a Gaming App / Website IMO

I like it....are you familiar with WAR prizes? The US Coast Guard Cutter Bark Eagle was a war prize after WWII, and I sailed on it back in the 60's.

You're exactly right...your idea prompted me to email the GM and LAWYER for War.com to let them know their domain could be worth as much as 10 MILLION DOLLARS:xf.smile:

war.com website rocks !

there is a band called the Translate Band

I regged translate.band when I saw Estibot $20,000.00

I have offered it for sale for $1,000.00 two years - no offers - no interest

but war.com is another story - the conflict-related definition catches one's interest - and then the

KILLER ACRONYM EXPLODES into an absolutely HUGE VIRAL BIZ - I can just picture it - what

is that crazy acronym - if I could only picture it, I would make the Band War an offer they could

NOT REFUSE

I think you should only buy/reg a domain if you truly see potential in it yourself.

A system with 'bot' at the end of it (Estibot), lacks credibility on that merit just in itself. End-users don't care about Estibot valuations; they only care about your valuation and whether it's comparable to their own valuation or within their budget.
