It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
We do not think we were hacked. We have since changed the Twitter password and enabled two factor authentication.
I am still confused on the Twitter thing.

If you were not hacked, then clearly someone representing Epik was using the account. Right?

It doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to figure out who was responsible for what happened.

It is certainly not a good look, and not the behavior you would expect from a professional company.

We have roughly 10 employees on the domain product that is relative to domainers, but like you all have mentioned it's not a great offering as of today. We do have basically at cost domains. So .25 over cost on all 580 extensions. So it's cheap. But the product isn't as good as Godaddy, Dynadot, Namecheap, Sav, or Namesilo. We are actively trying to make the products domainers used to love at Epik work well again or better than they used to, but our primary focus is on retail users.
The price shows $9.99 for .COM on Epik.com.

Seriously?

$14.99 for a .com.
But it shows $14.99 when you actually try to register a domain.

What's the deal with that? @Epik Domains

It's been mentioned by Epik multiple times in this thread and other venues that their primary focus isn't domainers but it's pretty clear from the mass exodus of domains from Epik that their main customer base was domainers and large portfolio holders. I say this because the news of Epiks wrongdoings has mainly stayed within the industry.

Based on that I'm guessing the shift to concentrate on retail customers is because they're the ones that likely haven't heard of how shit Epik are/were/probably will be.

The only thing of value Epik really brought to the table is the registrations.

It's puzzling to me that a new brand wasn't created, instead of trying to resurrect a brand that carries so much negative history and baggage.

That history is not going to just disappear because Epik Inc. became Epik LLC.

When people search for Epik.com they are going to find all the negative stuff.

It will take a long long time as Epiks name is trash. But our name stands for quality and reliability in the business entity space.
It took me some time to analyze what you're saying here.

You've taken a long time to create a hazy ownership structure and leave users in limbo about it. Sure, it is your business to set up these structures. But why have you completely failed to recognize that the Epik name will remain tainted for a long time? Ever considered a name change?

I was thinking the exact same thing. I can't see a single positive in keeping the Epik name or brand. They're both dirt.

Take the registrations and start a new brand. Start from a neutral point instead of a negative one.

It doesn't make sense that they're so attached to the name.

Their head of marketing was probably the tea boy until he did that free LinkedIn webinar on brand growth.

It's also why it is hard to believe that Rob Monster is not involved in some way.

Why would another party have interest in saving such a "trash" brand?

It really makes no sense.

We do not disagree with any of your assessments of the Epik brand. The domainers have left. There's still about 30,000-40,000 trash speculation domain registrations still to drop and then the DUMs you're all interested in will bottom out. The pricing is .25 over costs if you have 200 domains. and .50 over cost if you have 50 domains. That's for every extension which I think you'll find is a great price across the board and different than everyone else.

The Epik name is very bad. It just doesn't matter to the customers that are left. There's about 250,000 domains spread out over about 200,000 users. Our customers won't and don't care about Epiks brand. We've trialed the added services like hosted email, SSL, domains, and open source web hosting to a little over 10,000 customers. No one cares. Sorry... You can be upset and confused about it. The actual paying customers left and the ones we're bringing on don't care.

Public Relations and Social media is obviously not a skillset we currently have. We're focused on the product development, customer service, operations, and security of the product. Sorry.

Hopefully we have clarified some things for you all.

So his account is active and there are links to Epik all over.

I will tell you that if I bought a pile of trash in the "Epik" brand, I would demand that Rob Monster removed references that state or might imply he is still involved.

It would certainly not be helpful having him tied to the brand.

The other option would be he is still involved...

So... You're not that cheap actually... Better yet, quite expensive for most registrants.

Stop fooling people! You know you operate globally do you? You can't claim your sell domains at cost when In fact you're not. Ask your legal team. ... Amateurs.

Btw, you can get 'at cost' domains at great registrars like Cloudflare, spaceship... Why bother with an insecure registrar like epik.com?

You are referencing to CSC as a dinosaur, I don't think you grasp what the level of their services include.

You say you own your data own centers? Which ones exactly? I call bullshit.

A one stop offering?... Go fool someone else. It's all subpar, white labeled reselling you're offering, except for the registrar side of things.

@Epik Domains

Would you mind inquiring with the Masterbucks team, located at the same address, about the timeline for refunding the customers who were scammed? The sums involved are substantial. Additionally, could you request them to promptly remove the reference to digitaltown.zendesk.com from the HTML source?

lol.

I hope Epik doesn't give Josh any money. Josh has no lawsuit and it is super cringe for him to threaten with a lawsuit over mean words, "defamatory" or not. Elon Musk called a a guy a pedo just because he wouldn't let him play submarine commander and that case was thrown out.

It would be a very easy defense, here's a good place to start, 457 pages of defense...lol. Including pic of Josh's penis he published for some reason, allegedly. NOT KIDDING. click warning.

There's no Rob Monster here... that's small boy stuff... small weird games catering to weird stuff. All the posters here were right about the warnings about him.

I second this 🙏

@Epik Domains Since you bought ownership of Epik.com, what about masterbucks, forever domains, our personal datas and emails, our money, domains and rights? Or you decide to select whatever you like? why are you intervening just now? and why to buy the Epik brand knowing that there was a hack and that customers' money is on the table, even though this money is not touched and the hacker did not have access? you are constantly working to improve your customer service while you constantly turn a deaf ear and deny the theft of our money? and finally, why continue to encourage others to use your service which is more expensive and with no credibility (lost cause), with all the negative comments, and the black stain left in the domainer community?

Rob Monster is still around, he has just gone into public hiding.

Dan got his domain back, but Rob Monster "wasn't a fan" of the way he handled things.

I am sure there are a lot of customers who are not a "fan" of the way Rob Monster handled their money.

Rob Monster is a narcissistic gas lighting psychopath. Almost certainly he stole Dan's domain.

Yeah, there have been reports of unauthorized transfers regarding "old" Epik and "new" Epik.

In fairness, these were more numerous with "old" Epik.

If you look at this thread, Twitter, Trustpilot, etc. there are many reports of names disappearing from accounts under shady circumstances and with no notice.

There needs to be an accounting of every domain that was moved into or out of an Epik related account over the last several years.

This would also include the portfolio sales, which some customers said included their own domains. For example, Patterns.com.
