Always hard to know whether to cash out during hype periods or hold on until potential fruition hits the mainstream.

I have never liked the term Spatial, I personally dropped SpatialArcade, SpatialSport, SpatialMedical, SpatialShopping, SpatialEntertainment plus many more which I would consider good names in this niche

Being Apple pushing the term Spatial I do feel it will create a buzz and demand for spatial related names but as @Kingslayer mentioned nothing is a guarantee expecially in the long term.

I did something similar with 'metaverse' - Renewed them for about 4/5 years, didn't think 'metaverse' was going anywhere, a few months after i dropped them, 'metaverse' took off and the domains i dropped was probably quite valueable.

Of course they sold out. Anyone who doubted me saying they'd sell out doesn't have a grasp of the cultural mania surrounding Apple.

This wasn't me pretending to be a "psychic" and misleading people. It was just a common sense, no brainer.

It would not surprise me to see Vision Pro’s reselling for anywhere between $7k - $15k....maybe even more...let's watch and see...

I find all of this exciting. Does it directly mean anything in the domain world? I have no idea. Let's wait and find out!

All I saw by now, are for the most part (very) positive reviews.

Some where well surprised by using the headset for anything that has to do with office tasks.
Especially then, when you need to have multiple windows open.

Entertainment, like watching (spatial) movies or animations, is another big thing.

Also, zoom calls with the apple persona are a running gag for many.


What I found most interesting:
If you use the headset on a metro / subway, and open a window while the train does not move,
it may happen that as soon the train starts to accelerate the window slipps away, as it is callibrated to stay in one place.

Quite funny; won't happen on the plane however...

And maybe its worth mentioning, that very soon a competitor to the vision pro will release its own version of a mixed reality headset, called visor.

Reviews seem to be mixed especially about lack of work related apps, the device is heavy to wear (painful) and it causes headaches.

I am still not convinced that keyword spatial is going to sell very much. And yes I have some.

what I heard in reviews from Marques Brownlee, and many other famous tech youtubers, is that they did wear the headset for many hours, without a problem
(using the 2nd strap).

Actually, they debunked the theory that you can only wear it for 2 hours, etc.

There is even a guy who coded in it, for a couple of hours, and recommends it for that:

Avg. joe does not belong to the frontier of new tech enthusiasts, so yes... he might have high expactations, which can only be pleased in 2 years from now.

But which is important, the ball has started to roll... 200k units on their way, new ecosystem being developed, a cheaper/lighter version of vision pro is planned.

And: rivals are bringing their own headsets out.

Competition stimulates business & makes products better.

If I remember correctly, Marques did mention that he can wear it for a long time because he's used to VR.

In the long run, I'm not too worried about this because they're already working on a lighter next version.

I think they knew that some people would bring up the weight. This is Apple we're talking. They do test groups with many surveys during development. This first version is likely a market test to get feedback on how to refine the headset, because this is a lot more complex than releasing a hand held device.

Just my take, but I could be wrong.

Average Joe reviews definitely matter. The ones shared above are positive, negative and mixed reviews.

So far I haven't seen anything that would hint at the Vision Pro being a failure or massive disappointment. It will get lighter and features will improve. I don't think the Vision Pro will be a shelved project anytime soon.
