.Pro Sales

Ben42 · Apr 1, 2005

If anyone runs into any .Pro's for sale or that sold can you list them here so we can watch the trend?

Here is one:
Bible.pro

I wonder if the buyer of that auction knew about the $99 a year renewal fee and 'everything going on right now with the .PRO' and (thus) its uncertain future...

Hey, that's LeeRyder's domain! How come he didn't post about the auction here?

cdboard · Apr 1, 2005

interesting that it sold for only $51. !! ??

Does the 60day transfer rule stand on .pro's - I had a look but could see it anywhere

I don't think it fits the .pro extension... :imho:

Zeeble · Apr 1, 2005

Neither do, but something like reseller.pro would go for a lot more IMO

No, you can push em to other accounts immediatly. I know, 'cos I have done so.

Thanks Prosperous!

Hmmm, only going for 51$, I would think a top keyword like that would sell for more.

cdboard · Apr 7, 2005

any other known sales or trades? it's been quiet. too quiet

LeeRyder · Apr 7, 2005

I actually wanted to end that auction early.. for some reason (im not very well versed with ebay)..i couldnt..or couldnt figure out how too..so I had someone I sold to before put in a multi million dollar (something like 35,000,000) bid there to keep it from being sold.

I know..i know.. its bad.. but i really didnt want to sell it (hence no feedback by either of us) once I made the auction... i flinched i guess

One of my club's member bought webmasters.pro for $79 from the original registrant 3 weeks ago.

Good deal. What are the development plans? Hopefully there will be some good live .pro sites soon.

.Mike · Apr 7, 2005

sedo and .pro

just an idea - not sure if I am allowed to do this but...

at the moment (As everybody knows) sedo are not allowing .pro's to be listed - is there any harm in basically picking keywords to suit my .pro name and putting them against one of my 'not so popular' domains and then point the .pro domain at it?

Ben42 · Apr 7, 2005

I dunno if it's worth the risk of getting banned from Sedo. If enough people request it they'll allow them eventually with their super cool $150 Minimum commision fee or something.

There were a couple .pro sales/attempts here. I don't belong to any other domain boards, maybe some people will see others. (I dunno if we can post the links here though)

Guy ended the sale, no info though on why. He had 8 for sale:

Then there was this one, a nice pickup for Reg Fee!

You are probably right Ben42 - I think I might just start pestering sedo a bit
