Let's be honest, I've seen domain names from the same seller having an equal amount of bids throughout their portfolio....

Not only this...there's an equal amount of traffic (in even numbers) sent to the website.

Beware of bogus auction is all I'm going to say...and these people need to die by coronavirus.

The naive me was shell-shocked when shill bidding happened in a reverse auction, and I was told so by the organizer of the auction.

Then I always take these auctions with a pinch of salt.

Exactly, but it work luring in the newbies to buy trash domains. Can't do nothing there.

Isn't it GoDaddy who determines the traffic? At least in expired auctions, unsure about regular ones. These numbers have little or no practical meaning anyway. We do not know what system counted the hits and how, did it exclude bots and/or requests to wp-login.php for example?

I would not go that far...

Of course, shill bidding happens... Not only in GD auctions... Unfortunately. So, in case of any non-natural patterns in any auction it is simply better to avoid this auction, and to report it.

Not Shill bidding but...

Known HD bots ids are; # 913932 and 913933.

Check GD auctions if it; lost to HugeDomains.

the whole system at all platforms need a serious rethink. the problem with being the "top dog" and the "only game in town" is that you really have no motivation to innovate.

yea people complain but seems like the money is still flowing. I bet if these issues affected the "big players" using their platforms then and only then will they act?

I hate 913932 too
Ive lost most to them and won some against them. Hard to tell which times I made the right play until the domain(s) sell or not and for how much

Ive noticed a lot of sketchy behavior in domain industry. Just think of it like any business industry. Not that profit doesn't matter but some will say fuck ethics in the name of higher margins.

Don't get me wrong I don't condone shill bidding but really thats too much. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Has anyone tried to come up with the basic strategy behind the HD bot's bidding strategy?
