happy 1st of april everyone :)
so today i was scouting for domains to reg when i came across one that i was about to register, but i did a little bit of research and i was quite surprised when i saw the exact same domain listed on auction already while it wasnt even registered anywhere.
my question is am i allowed to register that domain anyways?

yes you can! grab it quick! people somtimes forget to remove a domain from auction. godaddy is not like Sedo where their system detects if a domain has deleted from registry.

and they automatically remove it.

cheers for your fast response.
i did reg it meanwhile

it got awfully confused at first cause it is listed as a min offer/bid of 16k dollar or more with 3 bids and i couldnt believe my eyes. i checked the spelling like a million times but thats the one.

what should i do now? should i list it too on GD?
im a huge beginner sorry for these silly questions

the auction is still going on for another 3 weeks but it wast made by me. do you think i can ask GD to transfer the auction onto my account?
also how reliable are these bids/offers? as far as i know they cannot be canceled or withdrawn right?

here's what happened there I think.

The domain was listed with buy now or min offer $16K and was in perpetual auction at Godaddy for say 12 month's.

there were 3 bids but the reserve was probably very high so auction ends with no sale.

so I wouldn't read into it that it had 3 bids or a min offer of $16K.

if anything it means it wasn't worth $16K to begin with and the reserve wasn't worth paying or bidding.

I might have been a bit impulsive with that I said earlier! lol sorry. but ultimately before regging any domain. always go with the tried and true stats. like Google search results and monthly search volume.

possible. since it means Godaddy will earn commission from completed sale.

Whats the name?

he might be holding off on telling because he wants to try to secure other domains with similar keywords. :xf.wink::xf.grin:
