I don't think Californians can buy .CA domain, unless they are Candian citizens. To register a . CA domain name you need to be a Canadian Citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or an organisation in Canada such as a corporation.Aside from it being used today, its awesome. Could easily see an Alex from California buying it (entrepreneur, business related, other), if it happened to be available

If you hold Canadian citizenship/pr/corporation and are a resident of California then you can, from what I know.@scotch, so you're saying Canadians cannot use Alex.ca as a brand name just because it's a great name across the globe?
