Showcase your top .LA, Los Angeles branded domain names!

With GoDaddy putting its marketing muscle behind .la and buzz starting on the east coast over .nyc, it seems to me there will be great end user interest in .la going forward. If you look at ccTLDs that have enjoyed success and those that have not, the only real difference relates to marketing and promotion. Extensions like .co and .me have shown what is possible. When the best generic, descriptive .la keywords have all been registered, they will be gone forever.

Well, the Internet is still very much in its infancy, and forever is a long, long time!

So long as the combined keyword(s)/extension make sense in view of the local Los Angeles market (i.e., domains like Condo.la, REO.la, Dentists.la, LawOffice.la, Tux.la, etc.), I believe this extension offers excellent potential. For more geo-neutral keywords and phrases without a nexus to the greater Los Angeles geographic area, not so much. . .

Okay, I'll go first:

Not quite.
The primary reason for success is relevance.

Then there is the size of the local market, languages, Internet penetration rates (especially broadband), spending power of consumers, overall maturity of the national market.
Simply put, rebranded ccTLDs have never been very successful. .tv has been more successful than others, but is still a niche market.

I hope everyone is aware that .la branded as Los Angeles is old news (at least 10 years old I think). They have just reawakened the corpse before .losangeles and dotwhatever begin flooding the market

I think it's a great idea. Might get a few Shei.la domains coming though!
