question What is the best way to "prepare" a hand reg'd name for sale?

Hello,

Sorry if the title is confusing. What I am asking is this. What do most of you do once you hand reg a domain and want to sell it? Do you try to add any content, build backlinks, park it for revenue, etc? Or do you just hand reg a great name and instantly sell?

I apologize if the question is confusing. I've been out of the domain game for a very long time and want to get back in.

Thanks,
Bill

If the domain is a slam dunk sell it.
If you are not confident develop and yes build links.

Could always "name drop" the domain on every forum online that caters to domains.

and of course list here in the Make Offer section.

if you are looking for quick cash. as in reg and then sell.

I guess you can send to auction that allows for the lowest starting bid like Flippa for $1 or godaddy for $5.

If it's a slam dunk of a domain then probably could flip it for $100 or $250.

Do that consistently and you are on your way.

of course it's best to run a no reserve auction to really get people's attention.

but you run the risk of losing a domain for less than your reg fee and commission to auction house.

A domain that you believe you could have sold for $1000 or more.

in thee end it's all about Risk vs. Reward.

no guts no glory as they say.

Disclaimer. I'm no expert.:xf.grin:

Thank you for your input! What are some other domain forums? I only am on NP.

Wait 60 days, until the terror Icann lock expires

You can push to another acc same registrar

But it’s better to be “free” imo

Thanks! Do you do anything during that 60 day period or just wait? Should I focus on building backlinks?
