Hey All,
The increase of Flippa success fees and listing price made a lot of sellers stop their flipping business. resulting in a declining in the market.

I used before this method in 2015 with Flippa.
1- Purchasing a domain name with meaning (usually -$9)
2- Creating a simple website with a new idea (I am a developer so it was free)
3- Listing the site as a starter site (-$9)
4- Site is being sold for (around +$150)
5- Paying success fees 10% (-$15)

So the profit was $117, which was a good for just a few hours work

Today if I repeat the same scenario, my profit will be only around $100, if it was sold by $150!
but wait, I can see the starter site section is not active as much as it was in 2015.
So there is a big risk to take.

I was searching for an alternative to sell my websites on, I found few options and here are the results from my POV.

NamePros: Few buyers interested, low competition.
DigitalPoint: Overpriced websites, few buyers, can't easily trust the seller.
FreeMarket: A good alternative, BUT it's DEAD
EmpireFlipper: Premium sites only :(

So here we are, stuck with Flippa and our business (flipping) will die with it!

So, What about building a platform yourself?
Why not? it's easy from my (developer) view. But it needs a lot of work to get Members and building trust with them, and currently, I can't afford the marketing cost!

So guys please share your thoughts...

Thanks and sorry for my bad English :)

Yes, build us a Flippa alternative.

The building is easy.
Maintaining and marketing are hard!
I need to build trust will buyers before sellers.
If there are no buyers, how there will be sellers?

You're pretty accurate in your description of each place. I really think it comes down to the price. If you're wanting $150 for a fresh domain with no backlinks/traffic..etc and you're including a small site without much on it then Flippa is your best bet. I can sell sites quickly a variety of places, but wouldn't be selling a new domain with new content for those kinds of prices.

Now flippa they are going to kill the starter sites section, we need to bring more value, good domain names with better designs

You are doing much the same as I am, except that I'm not using 3rd party sales sites. I've tried a variety of my own marketing sites in a variety of formats. I even created a fake forum and a blog. My latest idea is to use the CubeCart e-shopping package, and I've installed that on DomainPX. So far I've only put one name on it, and I need to think about the best way to mod it for domain sales. If you like the concept, then you can have some free listing on there if I can find an easy way for you to add them. All I would want is a small link to either the site,or your listed name.

I've been a bit distracted by the idea of trying to build a brand with no products to sell, and I'm putting together a site for that. :)

I know that Flippa can sometimes work out very well for people but also others have had a bad experience (even being scammed). It can also take a long time going back and forth with sellers and you have to do your own due diligence. I may be a little biased here but if you're looking for smaller sites in the $20 - $2,000 a month in income, motioninvest dot com a great place to start.
