Does anyone else here register these? I searched the NP archive but there's not a lot of recent discussions.

Tether's Reportedly Looking Into Launching Cryptos Backed by Commodities Like Gold and Oil

https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2019/09/tether-considering-the-creation-of-bulk-commodity-stablecoins

I recently registered in .com

eGoldTokens
e-GoldTokens
There's already a company that's been doing this for a while called VaultOro.com

I launched a thread a while back, as did a few others but I am not really sure what happened to it.

I still have a few solid domains

GoldSilverPawn.com
ExchangeKiosk.com
LinarSeries.com
SilverBureau.com
MetalsFeed.com

There's a great domain up for auction on GoDaddy with about 2 days left, buybullion.com and would be an amazing domain investment

Thanks for sharing @namesquare !
I bet there's a bunch of DN investors who will wait til right near the end and put proxy bids on.
Very surprised if the bidding stays below $20,000 since buygoldbullion.com sold above $25,000.
But that was 7 years ago.
Which is more valuable now buybullion.com or buygoldbullion.com?
buygoldbullion.com contains three phrases:
  1. BuyGoldBullion.com - buy gold bullion
  2. BuyGoldbullion.com - buy gold
  3. buygoldbullion.com - gold bullion
Perhaps the keyword "gold" in buygoldbullion.com gives it more value than
buybullion.com since many people are more familiar with gold than bullion

@MTB I think the two word domain, buybullion.com, would be much more valuable mainly because it's much more short, easy to remember, and one can offer services in a variety of precious metals (e.g. silver, gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium), not just 'gold bullion.' With a name like buybullion.com, one could truly turn it to main source online bullion dealer. I believe there's great expansion in the right hands. I am really curious to see what it ends at. These types of domains have always meet hot-ticket buys. In fact, most domains I sold was in this industry (gold, silver, coins, bullion, jewelry, numismatics, exonumia, and currency exchange). At the end of all the madness, there's always something about having a stockpile of gold and silver.

@namesquare do you consider diamonds to be in the "bullion" category?

Sure, but I believe that precious metals are more limited in their wording for domain names than other categories. That´s why you are very fast digging into crap when it comes to handregs or you take hardly marketable 3-word names. Besides that my pockets are not deep enough for auctions like this which will end in the 5 numbers?

The Cryptocurrencies have created new chances for good gold related domains, taken immediately by specialists

@Blitzpotz do you use Google News for metals news or other source(s)?

I do not use special sources for precious metals news. It´s just that I thought "the end is near" three years ago and bought physical gold, so checking my marketplace from time to time.
I receive a lot of old-fashioned Newsletters for tech, being unable to read them all at once.
I am reading newspapers with good science editorials online and offline (!).
Feedspot.com is a good meta news source for anything but there are dozens other free and paid sources.
BTW I don´t use the Giant Google, only their Alerts for personal issues.
I used to read RSS feeds like Business Insider and Techmeme but my Outlook RSS support crashed of any reason some time ago. Did not repair it because I am not able to manage the rising number of information anyway.
Namepros is a good free source, too. :xf.wink:

I do not want to be off-topic but
Are your drop lists hand selected or do you use software? Takes some time as I imagine. And you do not even earn money with affiliates.

All hand-selected using the advanced filters
Today's list of 20 came from a start list of 200,000 that dropped in past 24 hours
It takes an hour or so each day, sometimes more depending on what dropped
Interested to see what NPers reg before deciding on the affiliate route
It's only being going 10 days or so...

You create additional benefit for the community. Super!

It is surprising how many really good names are left after all the pre-selection happening with pro software, bots, auctions, Godaddy Closeouts, Epik Daily Diamonds etc. Extremely hard to decide for a list of 20 out of 200,000 I suppose. And even harder not to reg all the good stuff by yourself.

I make them into sites, like Halloween costumes goldcapes.com = 50 search month.
Geo terms: oahugold.com (20)...
thebullionvault.com
thegoldpro.com
thegoldjournal.com

I have more, lmk what you want to hear about besides silver.

But then it's hard to be sure what is the really good stuff
I try to stay in the metals and high-tech niches

I make them into sites, like Halloween costumes goldcapes.com = 50 search month.

This is a really good idea!

----------------

"Gold" sales above $1,000 are happening but 1-2 a month...

QuickGold.com sold yesterday for $900
GoldBee.com was the last "gold" sale over $1,000 (September), before that above $1,000 was
GoldenMaple.com sold the same month for $7,000
and before that over $1,000 was GoldCap.com sold for $15,000

One interesting thing I saw
GoldBrand.com sold in July for $1,101
but re-sold Saturday at only $663

gold names always have done well, but they will continue to do more. The future is gold represented on blockchain. China / ME be pushing it. I knew it for many years, it's what FINALLY got me into domaining, gold names...

I have wrote a lot about the blockchain gold, but you can read about what I have to say about money in general, the transition to gold and just some really basic idea that people don't like to talk about.

There are LOTS of lies, like us leaving the US dollar will destroy the whole world and throw everyone into poverty..,LIES. In the short term, yes, cuz dumb ppl don't have gold, bankers do...and that was the plan for the last 100 years.
