Got my second domain sale today! New Orleans + 2 keywords .com for $300.00 to end user. I emailed 28 companies and got a call and closed the deal.

calculate again, 35% were paid only if sold
and you should compare it with paying 100$ per domain at brandbucket for 30 to 50 domain without any guarantee for any sales

Or paying $5 for each listing at Brandpa with no sales. Only secret people sales there & no one report anywhere.

They offered USD 10,000 and I said not interested in selling. They then offered USD 25,000 and I said if I was to sell I would need at least USD 48,000. 6 weeks later they said USD 35,000 final offer. I then said I would be willing to meet in the middle and we agreed at USD 40,000.

Why 48000 not 50000? Any specific reason?

I believe it is always better to have a specific price (it appears like a calculated valuation as opposed to an arbitrary number), and $48,000 feels less than $50,000.

At this time all of my listed names are premium. I started listing before the basic and basic plus options were available. I do participate in contests, and I have sold some marketplace names that way, but not many. The competition for contest prizes is tougher than ever, in my experience marketplace names are difficult to sell through that channel. Thanks to everyone for your congratulations and interest.
