Hi there,

This was my 1st time drop-catching, and it was one of my domains that I couldn't renew because of some bank issues.
I back-ordered it with DropCatch and NameJet after it got into "Pending Delete" status.

Now it was dropped, went to DropCatch to find its status as "missed".
Went to my account at NameJet, and it was still showing as "Active Back-orders" until it suddenly disappeared from my account!? I mean if they missed it, wouldn't it just show a status telling me what freaking happened?
Anyways when I did a whois, I found that the domain was captured by Network Solutions.
I am a total noob when it comes to this, what happened here? (BTW according to NameJet I was the only bidder at their side).

Thanks in advance.
I am really so tilted and sad now!

Namejet caught it most likely.

Namejet caught it most likely.
Is this a good thing now?
I mean are they trying to steal it or what? As it disappeared from my back-orders and they didn't send me anything and haven't even charged me a penny until now.

Btw the domain just dropped about 3 hours ago, does the awarding process take a some time?

Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it.

EDIT:
  • Alright guys never mind, NameJet just sent me an email stating I won the domain!! I was just really scared as the domain means a lot to me. I am never ever losing it again at all costs hopefully.
  • A question though, after they hand me the account where I can manage the domain, what should I do next? The domain was registered for me at name.com (where I do all of my registrations), should I move it immediately? Wait until the next expiration then move? I am not sure what to do. Would really appreciate the opinions of those experienced folks here.

Network Solutions won't let you transfer it for 60 days. (at least in my experience) So after that you can transfer it to Name or wherever, or wait till it expires and do it them. However with the rep NS has, I'd transfer it on day 61!!

As Hawkeye said, there will be a transfer lock.

Until then, if you want to host a website, you can still point your name servers to which ever servers your host specifies.
