Hi everyone! Thanks for your feedback, and thank you to
@Tshombe for sharing your experience with Squadhelp. For those who are not familiar with how our platform works, your concerns are understandable.
Here is a high level overview about Squadhelp (so that you have a better context):
We are the #1 naming platform across the globe and are used by several hundred startups and Fortune 500 companies every month to come up with names for their companies and brands. More than 18,000 customers have used us for their naming projects and we were recently ranked
#247 by Inc Magazine as America's top 500 fastest growing companies.
There are two ways in which you can participate in our platform:
1. You can join active naming contests (we do about 500 naming contests a month), and you can submit relevant name ideas based upon the project brief. Usually the name ideas are for domains that are still available for registration. If your name is selected, you will receive an award ranging from $100 to $500 for winning the contest.
2. Many of our customers (especially larger companies) are looking for premium names that they can purchase. Their typical budget ranges from $5000 to more than $100,000. In these situations, you can list your domain for sale in our marketplace, and submit them to those contests. If the company likes your name, they can purchase it directly from our platform.
Squadhelp does not buy names from sellers, however our platform allows you to present your high-end domains to potential customers who have immediate need for names.
For example, in this specific case, we have a potential buyer who is looking for single dictionary word .com names in the Finance niche with a budget of $100K. Once you submit the names in the link provided, we will review the name, and if your name is a good fit, we will accept it in our Marketplace, and the name will be submitted to the contest as per our Marketplace/contest rules. There is no guarantee that your name will be accepted - it must meet our requirements in order for it to be accepted and submitted to the contest.
Hopefully this clarifies things a bit. If you still have any concerns, we do have a 24 X 7 chat support team that can answer them.
