I would take this offer if I were you. Mainly because Blockchain is 1 word so the hyphen inbetween is not ideal. If you have a ready buyer, prob be a good idea to take the offer

Contacted through linkedin and seems he is one of the partner of non hyphened domain. I contacted him first then he asked how much I said 5k$ and he said will offer 0.25 BTC and I said 3800k$ and he said he talk with his partners and let you know ...

After 1 day , he said after discussing with his partners can give 350$ max.. then I said it is too low and after long negotiation he went to 500$

ah ok
well at least u got yerself a serious buyer at 500... not all offers are serious or yield sales..

as u see this inquiry is related to 42k sale so who knows if anyone unerelated will ever bite...so id sell it for 500..or it may be nothing at all later

I strongly recommend that you accept 500. There will not be another buyer and you have already negotiated thoroughly with the sole potential buyer. If you screw around they may walk. They really don't "need" your domain. Take it before you regret it and end up with a drop.

Accept the offer and reinvest in better names. Ask yourself honestly if you can find another buyer for this domain! Good luck anyway!:xf.smile:

Sell it and renew your best names for 5 years.

How do you know this? why do we domainers sometimes provide unfounded "alibis"for end users? Just cuz we think its a bad name doesnt mean and end user sees it the same way. sounds self defeatist.

It's a reasonable assumption they don't really need the domain based on the fact that they already own the non hyphenated version, and based on the negotiations that were already conducted. The seller contacted them and they are apparently willing to spend a few dollars to cover their bases for brand protection, but this is otherwise a dead end domain. I don't think that's a defeatist attitude, but a realistic one. I've lost too many sales of mediocre domains by convincing myself they need it and holding out for more. There is nothing defeatist about seeing the reality of a situation and taking a profit.
