Hi,
I bought pdd.com via escrow.com and the seller took the domain back on networksolutions.com after he received the money $42,000 US dollar.

for detailed information, please view http://www.drjw.com/

Any suggestions about what I can do is welcome, thank you!

If you know a lawyer who is an expert in online domain name disputes, please tell me his/her contact information, thank you very much!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
On a large deal, if the domain is privacy protected seems it's good to request it be removed so that the registrants identity can be confirmed.

I show no mention of Patrick Sitrok in the whois. You mentioned you also bought 3620.com from him. That domain shows a Chinese registrant.

I see 3620 was up for sale on sedo.

What your saying makes no sense.

So you excepted the domain into your account and then released the money right?

Then the seller takes the domain back out of your account??

Makes no sense, and there is def more to this story.

I think networksolutions took it back and not the seller. Stolen domain?

Yes, the company probably went offline and called NS. NS probably didn't want to admit their account was compromised so they put it back.

It will probably come to light that the account was compromised and the sale was a scam.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your loss. I know it is little late but when we do Five Figure or bigger transaction we must use "Concierge Service" in Escrow.com. In that situation Name get transfer from Seller account to Escrow.com account and from Escrow.com account to your account. In that situation if you lose name then it is liability of Escrow.com. This is for other friends who may do bigger transaction in future.

In meantime let me find out more helpful info if I can.

Again sorry to hear about it.

Thanks
thank you for your advice.

The buyer is a Chinese person. Called American here on NP.
The seller is someone called Patrick in Texas.
Seller got money, pushed domain. Then reported it as stolen or something.
Web/NS took the domain back, lock buyer's account.
Buyer's provided proof, but don't understand English or process well
Seller say where do you want me to send your money back.
Buyer doesn't know temporarily waits, no money.
Seller tries to make an agreement with buyer via email that he will be getting his money back (seller promise or say buyer WILL get money back)
This is bad, because seller will email NS/Web saying that both side agree to move domain back mutually.
This puts WEB/NS off hook.

Again, buyer is Chinese, English is limited and does not understand process, very eager.
Buyer has not yet lost that money.
Buyer must email Seller to push back the domain, because he does not get his money.
Buyer must chase down network solution, provide proof of payment.
Right now domain is in seller's account. Buyer didn't get his money back nor the domain. He's trying to get money back, but doesn't know that if he accepts deal to cancel, NS/Web are off the hook and NS/Web will no longer support buyer. I recommend to chase Web/NS and seller down. Get domain push back, be patient. Or sue Web.

That's the story.

Domain was probably a stolen domain. You have two problems. 3620 is in danger too. You have that 17,500 on top of pdd.

You paid 17500 for 3620 and 44000 for pdd. Both seem to be in danger.

I know you are from China, you need to contact Web provide proof of payment and ask the domain and account back. You need to contact seller to push back domain name. Do not agree to cancel transaction.

Ask for domain, because if you ask for Money, Web/NS cannot help you on that. Provide proof of payment transaction. Web/NS will help, if not sue them. Do not agree to cancel.

Keep in contact with Web. Email them, it is their responsibility if they pushed it back to the owner unlawfully, if you paid for them to the owner. So provide proof of payment and wait.

Hi,

Unfortunately this may be a case of stolen domains. Now see full details below.

PDD.com Real Owner before Transaction whose email address is [email protected]

PDD.JPG

PDD.com Escrow.com Transaction Owner whose email address is [email protected] which does not match with Owner's email address before transaction (See above).

PDD Escrow.JPG

3620.com Real Owner before Transaction whose email address is [email protected]

3620.JPG

3620.com Sedo.com Transaction Owner whose email address is [email protected] which does not match with Owner's email address before transaction (See above).

3620 Sedo.JPG

Sedo has history of stolen domains listed for sale. They had taken some steps sometimes to delist it and sometimes little late. In this case looks like they were late.

In short when we do this kind of transaction we need to do our own investigation as well. @.NJ & @imadoer is very good friend of mine and I have learned a lot from him. We need to be very careful when we do big transaction like this.

Still let me try to find out more detail how to get money back. Unfortunately there is high probability these are stolen names. That is the reason NetworkSolutions.com may have locked your account even it was not your fault. Now I think we need to focus on how to get money back rather than how to get names back. Just my thought. Still lets work together to get to the root of this issue.

Let me try to find out more and I will share more if I find some more helpful info.

Sorry to hear about this.

Thanks

This is horrid, this is what gives domaining a bad name and what will eventually kill it off in comparison to cryptocurrency imo if it's not situated fast.

Yeah, it is not like the owner can just take it back. Network Solutions would have to be complicit in returning it.

If Network Solutions is not being helpful, I would start by filing a complaint with ICANN.
You also might need to consult a lawyer.
