I got a notification that a *buyer* opened escrow at escrow.com to purchase one of my domains.

I had it set with a bin.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or have seen this and the buyer was just messing around?

I get inquiries all the time but in the 8 months or so that ive been using efty some, this is the first time getting this.

I have not used efty but though woocommerce escrow plugin. If someone tries to buy . Escrow.com sends a message to seller. If you are getting msg from escrow. Then it will be real . Cheers

Happens to me all the time with my Efty names that have a BIN. Very annoying too. I think Efty should have the Buyer confirm the purchase before setting up the transaction at Escrow. At one point, I had about 5 or 6 transactions falsely set up at escrow where the "buyer" was just messing around or did not know what they were clicking on...

Happened to me and except the buyer follows up by responding to email exchange then I take them seriously.

This happens to me all the time. It's usually because the buyer doesn't realize the domain is even for sale. They buyer probably thinks it's the previous site that the domain was under before and is just confused. I can always tell because I have a minimum and a buy it now. The ones that are serious always put in a minimum offer.

I've had at least 5-6 such "escrow transactions opens" with no response or forward movement post that. This is on Bodis though

Not a bad idea, I'll have a chat with Efty and see what we can do here.
