Hi, I've just registered on namepros for some advice about buying a premium name. My business has been operating quite successfully for a few months. It's a service provider and uses a .uk extension . The website is not essential but it is useful for being found online from new international queries.
The .com extension of my domain name is available from one of the large domain resellers for $2,195.
My question is what sort of discount would it be reasonable to expect (if any). After an initial inquiry they replied with the offer of a $100 discount.
Obviously the .com extension is more desirable and looks a lot more professional, but as the site is nothing more than a shop front it's not essential to me. So I'm trying to figure out if it's actually worth investing in. Would there be any re-sale value in the domain in the future?
Thanks
