Martin Shkreli, controversial pharmaceutical executive known for rising the price of HIV medication Daraprim from $13.50/tablet to $750/tablet, periscoped himself registering PhilWitmer.com, after Phil wrote THIS ARTICLE for Vice November 28th, 2016.

At time of posting, site is undeveloped. Does the site need to be developed to show malicious intent, or is the video enough evidence?

I learned more about Martin Shreli some time ago via the below Vice Documentary. Other than being a hedgefund manager and pharma exec, he streams most of his life, trolls often, and has a decent size internet following.

I started looking into Martin Shkreli domain names last night after seeing him trending on Facebook.

The journalist he allegedly harassed is teen vogue writer, Lauren Duca (Yes, she owns LaurenDuca.com).

He DM'd Lauren:

Later, Lauren tweeted to Twitter CEO @ Jack

I believe a factor adding to the harassment was Shkreli's following of trolls who chimed in with photoshop images, and messages to Lauren.

Shkreli also tweeted:

Currently an undeveloped domain, but it was registered without privacy, so this enabled me to find other domains regged by Shkreli.

Side Note: This site was used for a proposal in 2006 according to a screenshot from DomainTools.

MarryMeLauren.com - regged January 8, 2017 - is registered to an email address @TuringPharma.com (Shkrelis Pharmaceutical Company) so it's likely owned by Shkreli. TuringPhama.com is registered via Proxy. Other FirstNameLastName.com's owned by Shkreli are:

ChristinaGregg.com - regged January 5th, 2017 - works for AOL news - On the same day Shkreli regged her FirstNameLastName.com, Christina retweeted and mocked Shkrelis inauguration invitation to Lauren Duca.

CurtisBalmer.com - regged December 21, 2016 - Not sure why he regged this domain. Currently not developed.

AndrewKnorr.com - regged December 21, 2016 - no idea why Skreli regged this FirstNameLastName.com. Maybe he is a pharmaceutical professor at the University of Iowa?

RhettJones.com - regged yesterday January 8th, 2017 - Jones is a writer for Gizmodo who recently wrote on Shkreli's Periscope / Twitter suspension. HERE

In my opinion everyone should register their own name to prevent this.

I registered myname.com many years ago and just sit on it.

Don't know when some idiot will do something like this.

Harder for common names. But if it's not common and esp. if you're a domainer, yes buy it if it's avail.

This time Shkreli posted his latest FirstNameLastName.com reg for sale on Facebook, and through his following, the comments turned into a mini sales thread.

I have a question and i think some people here might be able to answer.

can i own and sell domains that are a first name of a person (not my name) ?

Example: Steve.co

i sold a name like the one i mention above in a marketplace like sedo on the past to people who have that name and had good results, but a couple of days back i found a article saying it's not good to sell domains that aren't your own name and i can get sued because of that.

I never had trouble in the past and never heard nothing like what i read in the article but it got stuck in my head and i'm looking for answer to this question.

Can someone here help me?

@Grilled @creataweb ??

Thanks in advance.

I am guessing a first name is generic in its nature would not pose a problem, sites with people who are associated with that first name may be an issue I suspect

First name domains are fine (To my knowledge)

Link to a story about Kylie Jenner's failed attempt obtain Kylie.com through trademark litigation. HERE I know that's different because the owner shares the first name.

Namebio has a section dedicated to first name sales...

Thank's for the info and help. (y)

Yes from the info i gather there's no problem in selling first name domain since it's generic and can be used has a brandable to.

It's a good market i sold one for 250$ easily.

Shkreli making headlines again... HERE
upload_2017-7-4_19-17-38.png

Jon Schuppe is one of many reporters who wrote about this news event that is trending on Facebook. Seeing that the domain name JonSchuppe.com has never been registered before, I wonder Shkreli will buy the domain name just as he did other journalists who wrote about him.

I have an idea:

1. Buy your name (or any other random name).
2. Change your Twitter to that name.
3. Piss him off.
4. Sell the name to him for $x,xxx.
5. Repeat.
