Hi all,
Today I received the payments in my bank account. Actually the sale happened on 31st Dec, 2016, however, the payment got delayed due to various banking procedures.

The domain name in question is bot-related dot com which I had acquired about a month ago at Snapnames for $1xx. It was an inbound inquiry. Client's first offer was $100 which I was not going to settle for; I countered with $1000 offer. He came up to $500 and I came down to $750. He said $6xx is all he could offer and I said "Okay."

I have invested, like $1500 already, in my few months time with domaining. And just about a week ago, this domain name was rejected by Brandbucket. I was desperately looking for a sale. Secretly, I was looking to validating my purchasing decisions. And finally, the sale happened and it was consoling and encouraging. Two things I learned with this sale are: 1) Rejections are inevitable; All you need is blind optimism and a thick skin and on top of that, a gut to say "NO" to client's offers when you think your feelings/analysis are right. 2) You must research well about the buyer before making any offer. This can decide if you'll sell for $xx OR $xxxx.

I'm reporting on this sale because 1) I want to thank the Namepros community without whom I'd have never learned so much about this industry and, 2) to encourage the new domainers that this thing is for real and to tell, you can make big bucks if you learn how to do it right. :xf.wink::xf.wink:

Thanks,

PS: I made a $xx sale on Ramped few weeks earlier but never got paid for it, I'm still following up with its support. :xf.confused::xf.confused:

If you do it once it's luck. If you do it over and over and over, again and again and again, then you're really good.

Can't agree more!

I'm afraid it was not a fluke! O_o:xf.rolleyes::xf.grin:
