It’s time to start acting on our goals that we set at the end of 2016.

Each of us has a crappy domain names (I guess so), I will not mention mine, so as not to offend buyers, but Each train has its passengers.

Do you know Pareto 80/20 rule? The rule is that 80% of your profit comes from 20% of your sales (20% of your portfolio), but the question is what to do with the remaining 80% of our portfolio?

I’ll tell you a short story … Maybe about a month ago in one of my posts in NamePros I wrote that my goal for 2017 is to sell or to drop 80% of the domains that I own. So one morning about two weeks ago I decided to act, I do not delete these 80% of the domains, but I decided to sell them and to sell them with a profit… small profit, but still profit.

HireGurus is not a crappy name (IMO). I am sure, domains sell because of its inherent value, not simply because of a marketing tactic.

Thanks for sharing and motivating us as we believe that shitty and crappy names have no value. But it is not so as you showed. So will try to incorporate that.

@bonin I would like to ask u about the Facebook tactics you use to generate sales,

Do u create a Facebook page? How exactly the Facebook tactic works?

Thanks

So with facebook, you have promoted your domains to your "already joined groups" or did you join new groups as well where you promoted your domains? And does the group instantly grants permission to post/domains?

Sorry for newbie question, don't use FB that much.

Yes, I'm a member of about 7-8 FB groups related to domain names, also I've got 2 my own pages + my profile with around 500 friends, 50% of them are domainers... so pretty good audience

A good story and some good suggestions!

One problem I see is that you don't usually know which is the 20% and which is the 80% group. The ones you've just sold may well have been in the 20% group, which means you're still stuck with the one in the 80% group. :xf.wink:
