If the use of flower related names was so common then why are all of these more popular flowers available in Lab and Labs? You can have them all. Knock yourself out and register the whole lot. :)

I didnt say with Lab but flowers, palace, king, etc are very common words in ME. Even if that name is accepted cause it is owner by Krell, We can never know the logic he head about it but looking at his sales you can say he always thinks outside the box

If anyone shoots 5,910 darts at a dart board you're bound to score some points too. :) Is it really skill or volume?

... perhaps it's a little of both + $59,100 and counting in free listing fee's?

The thing that gets me is if bb is spending X amount on marketing through listing fee's to generate Y amount of buyers, why should non ambassadors have to pick up the marketing tab?

My first submissions to BrandBucket between 2/23 and 2/27 were reviewed.

5/17 were accepted.

Surprising to me (though based on research and not experience), the better of my submissions were not accepted: Qualityy

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I don't think either of those make good brandable domains. I don't think I've ever seen a brand ending with double-y, which could never pass radio or pronunciation tests. The other name is both long in length and syllables, and sounds like a proper name IMO. Proper names rarely make good brands since they can't be trademarked. Just my opinion, and offered simply for amusement and not to offend.

Not having a quality outlet to sell my rolling y domain, I let it drop. Come to find the third submission by somebody else was a charm.

The thing is this. BB ambassadors and those at the top of the BB chain worked hard to get where they are. That should not be overlooked, and I get that. I totally get it. You work your butt off for x number of years, and you're successful, you get perks. That's sales, isn't it? (never been in sales myself but general knowledge is that the top salesmen in any business get perks - this is how it is in my part of the globe: NY)

Anyway, what I think comes across as being unfair is the fact that those with perks are able to list any name: good, bad, ugly, indifferent. While the rest of us may not even be able to get good-ish names on the platform (good being subjective). I mean, some have even reported having names rejected, yet a couple of months later, those same names are then published after certain individuals purchase them. That does not seem fair at all. (Of course, the only way to counteract that is to find GREAT names, not good-ish names).

I really think that BB should have all names go through the same process blindly. It shouldn't matter who the names belong to. After the names are accepted, those who deserve it can take the perk of the free listing fee. If you or I want that perk, we're gonna have to work for it. Respect that!

I was given free listing fee's when I complained about my rejected domain being approved for somebody else.... Maybe you will too??

I appreciate this, Chris. Our acceptance of previously rejected names is very low, but if you feel strongly about something that gets rejected, please reach out to me personally and I will take another look. Since brandables can be so subjective, so things fall through the cracks!

I just added 100 credits to your account.

To see if your rejected domains have been approved see below:

1. Copy all your bb submissions

2. Paste into Excel

3. Sort by Approval

4. Copy rejected domains

5. Check NameServers. If you don't have a program to do this, use: http://www.bulkseotools.com/bulk-check-nameserver.php (max 500 per query - be patient the online checker is kinda slow)

6. If you notice NS1.BrandBucket.com and NS2.BrandBucket.com then you know it was accepted for another seller.

BB should be careful of their practices though: a big fish might be king of the pond, until the random day a shark somehow makes its way into the pond (I just made that up, don't know if it makes sense, but hopefully you get the point). Ha!
Brandable names have proven to be a very lucrative market and it doesn't take long for much bigger fish than BB to figure that out. Some BIG players have names on BB and are fed up. The sharks have already entered the pond. :)

Well. If it is not even 1% of skill based then how come those with 3K, 2K or even 1k+ arent selling even 10% of his? Let me guess the answer...his domains get better expossure than the others? Yeah I heard it a lot . This Krell discussion will never end.

You may have heard it before, but doubt you've ever understood it....

Again Grilled and his assumptions. I know every post holder in any oeganization gwts different perks. I work for the biggest organization in the world and somw of the perks I get due to my post , others dont and others of different or evwn higher posts get better perks than me. Does that mean I complain a lot ? Nope. If I am fed up , I know.I have onw of two things. Either to continue or leave my post.

This certainly applies here. If some are very very upset, why not they be change? Either creating their own private market places or even public and show us how you want it to be done.

I believe ambassadors can pretty much list nearly anything they want.
They can indeed.

I agree with this 100%. I think it would do their marketplace immense benefit if they removed the various avenues where conflict of interest could arise. Whether conscious or subconscious, there's no way that bias cannot enter the process of reviewing names when you are the main beneficiary of that review. A transparent and bias-free review process would do so much for BB's credibility IMO.

It's easier to whine (continually for years) than actually do something.

What's with all these names ending in ZIA now seeming to be trendy at BB?

Years? Who's been whining for years? Surely you don't mean me, as I was bb's biggest promoter last year at NamesCon, which was less than a year ago. @hookbox has been HELPING for years whereas fanboys (myself previously included) are simply propagating the marketplace in support of their own interests. This is not to say that bb hasn't done a GREAT job defining an industry, just saying, The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Yet, they rejected Gym/zo. I bought this on NP from another prominent bb seller. I assume it was also rejected for them.

Game/Collab
O/f/f/e/r/i/c/a

Rejected. I like the sound of the latter one a lot, and the first one is obviously cool for game development collaboration. Pretty much past caring now whether BB accepts or not these days.

On a positive note, got sale/mode and v/e/r/d/o/s/a in, but is there really any point listing with them anymore, I mean for me....probably not.

Game/collab is a great name imo

There is a company called GameColab which maybe why they didn't accept it?

Thanks,

Lots of names have existing or past companies operating with the same name. It just depends on the reviewer...do they understand the market....have they checked crunchbase, startupranking, techcrunch etc for name trends.

Anyway. Onwards the upwards! :)

Just got 3 more names accepted. Just need a sale or 2 now to help.

I had JobCollab listed recently. I thought it was borderline. Not sure how "collab" comes across to real businesses.

Don't get too down about rejects. I had a name rejected on Sep 10 sell for almost $3K a few days ago via Uniregistry BIN lander.

I think the logo helps sell names on BB, but as inventory grows larger, you lose the edge of people who come in through BrandBucket.com.

I just glanced through your list and I would email them and ask them to re-review g y m u x with a description ([email protected])

Add in the description Gym and User Experience (UX is the internet abbreviation).

It's worth a go, good luck!
