I actually don't know much about who owns or runs this forum, but I have to say it's consistently been one of the best run forum type websites I've used, and I'm talking about across the entire web, not just the domain industry.

Now there are some forums that seem nice because they panic and delete everything that is controversial leaving nothing but the "fluff", but NamePros seems to take all of the issues head on, managing the discussion without heavy censorship or letting it get crazy with too many threads, etc.

I've had my wrist slapped a couple of times when I deserved it, but the rules are well laid out and fairly administered. The only direct communication I've had with the owner was years ago when chasing down a guy running a scam on domain owners, and Namepros was very cooperative when others didn't want to bother to get involved.

So Namepros admin team, here's to you!

Hey there,

Just wanted to express our gratitude on behalf of the team and myself. We work endlessly and take great pleasure in seeing when our members are satisfied with our efforts. We have some stupendous features and projects in the works and we plan on releasing them in the near future, so stick around!

Thank you.

Best,
Edward Zeiden
Managing Director

Probably one of the main reasons that so many "long timers" are sticking around and remaining active.

Same reason, that the newcomers are sticking around and participating!

Personal note, I spend more time on this forum than FB...I beginning to find FB boring and repetitive..at least I can learn here!!

Facebook = Waste of Time (Domaining) I see people posting on there. what with sexy nudes and other distraction who really is paying attention to "SuchandSuch.com domain for sale!"

Definitely, one of the best forums on the web.

Only thing...most of the domains that are for sale on the forum are very bad. It would have been nice if there is some control.

the only control there ever was will be and should be is for you and me to control what we will and won't bid on.

you change that, and things start going down the drain real quick.

I used to spend hours on the warriorforum for years thinking it was the best forum since slicedbread, until I discovered NamePros earlier this year. I agree, NP is by far, the best.

well.. every niche has its own winners.. its just how it works.. it's like ebay.. or paypal.. others can try to imitate.. and try they will.. minorities will make claims that the imitations were a success, but majorities will know well that they've all failed.. cause in the end, there can only be one. ;)
