Fellow NamePros-members,

Can we take a minute to discuss what qualities and services you appreciate in a site/list when considering/searching for domains?
During our brief time on this forum, we've noticed that you seem like a very creative and passionate group of individuals, so who better to ask in our pursuit of a user friendly and well-developed site.

As many of you've already noticed, we are not foreign to trying new things, or to develop services, ideas and functionalities of our own. The most recent little project we did, after developing the search feature on our site with historical sales stats for premiums, was to add a bit of info to each name in our special list of great names, also available on the site.

Global domains with useful new statistics: Here.

What other features do you generally appreciate in lists like this one, i.e. would you like to be able to sort the names in any special way, compare them with each other in a certain way, have other kinds of statistics, suggested ways to use, ways to click-through, added services etc? And also for the go.global site in general - what qualities or services to do value, and how can we make the site better?

how about not hoarding the only good names you can offer? I personally will not buy a .global domain because the few that I wanted, you guys have reserved for some obscene price. My suggestion is stop competing with your own customers.

I totally agree. The best new gTLDs are the ones not gouging their customers.

It seems to me that reaching critical mass in numbers is the pathway to success for new gTLDs. For now, mostly domainers are buying up new digital assets, but if you can get those numbers up and out there, end users will start seeing your gTLD in search results and may start buying aftermarket domains, which will drive some buzz to your product.

Dot CO had a founder's program in which end users were offered nice domains for their businesses -- with a caveat that the domain couldn't be parked but used for a real business.

You also have serious competition, given that .com is also viewed as a global gTLD. That doesn't mean you can't carve out your own niche, but it's going to be a steep climb.

Best to you.

Thank you for posting this. All nGTLD registries should stop to read and contemplate this concept.
