update for what? They update at the auction ending time. Takes them a couple of minutes to update in my experience.

Like, new ones added to the auction list?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd guess that depends on the same couple of minutes. I haven't seen any strange length of wait times, when transitioning from expiring domain auction to closeout. If it's delayed, it's probably because somebody place a backorder on it whilst it as in auction , and it's gone.

Lets say the auction ends with no bidders on Monday 12:30PM

Usually within 5 minutes (in most cases closer to the 2 minute mark) the name will automatically get listed on the closeout section.

THE fastest way to identify a name in closeouts if you where monitoring it during the regular auction is to add it to your watch list and keep refreshing your watch list.

Now every day almost the exact time (sometimes it will be off by a few minutes) the price will be reduced all the way to $5

Few things to keep in mind

While you would have to wait 7 days it you won the name during the regular auction phase, you will wait less days if you win it during the closeout phase (unless you grab it right after the auction phase).

Also make sure you are logged in and have a payment method setup etc as many people wait for the second the closeouts start in order to grab the name, if you have to start manually entering your desired payment info you might lose the name.

Once the 5 dollar phase is up the name should drop within 6 weeks.

I know the EXACT time and I am not going to tell you, because that'll just create more competition for me. :)

There is no exact time lol every domain is a different time and each reset varies

Your wrong :)

Let me break it down further as to not confuse those who are newbies that browse this forum and might think you know what you are talking about.

The OP asked: "Does anybody know the time and day that Godaddy Closeout auctions update??"

Now given that expiring auctions end (99%) between 12-5PM EST, and that unsold names end up in the closeout section within minutes (99% of the time) of the auction end, there is no one single time closeouts update. Sometimes its within a minute other times within 5 minutes that the name ends up in the closeouts.

Now everyday the price reset happens at approx. the same time as it went into the closeouts in the first place. Sometimes it adds a few minutes as can be seen on the countdown time.

Why you are motivated to confuse newcomers I have no clue, but its a pretty disgusting thing you are doing.

Believe what I want? It's creatures like you that take a good solid forum with reliable information and destroy it. You know full well what I wrote is accurate but for some reason you want to provide misinformation to newcomers? Why is this even allowed here?

As far as I know..... Godaddy updates closeout domains as bulk in some time... can't predict that one.

Close out domains comes from unsold expired auctions. some times it comes to close out within 10 minutes sometimes it takes 12 hours.

In close out.....If the domain listed for 12$ and there is no buyer then godaddy relist as 10$ or 8$ - 5$ reduced price with 1day or 2day time.

But there is no exact time for new listings..... Seems like that :)

I'm watching the auction regularly if I found something I'll sure let you know!

I agree with AEProgram !

So, you are buying all closeout domains?

Closeout migration depend on the domains auction end time, after ending without bid it goes to closeout section within 10-30 mins.
