This is first time I appreciate SPAMMER!

It notified me of available domain.
Email said they registered .com version of
the domain I have in .org

I know they didn't register it from previous similar emails.
So, I registered it myself immediately :D

Here is SPAM email I am talking about...
I removed any domain or link to SPAMMER.
No reason to send them any kind of traffic ;)

Very good - very good :) What makes me laugh is the "billing" we get for $35.00 to $75.00 per domain ~ that isn't a bill, just an offer to be the registrar for that domain

.com was NOT available :D

I think previous .com owner did not renew because it's time is yet to come.
But, I do believe it's coming.

If you don't have patience, you should NOT register for things coming in future ;)

As for me, I don't mind waiting few more years :D

That's funny - I've gotten a number of those emails but never thought to check the domain. In most cases it's on weak names I own and/or typos where having the .com doesn't really do any good. I think I'm going to go through the emails I've gotten and see if there was anything good. Congrats on getting the .com in your case!

Yeah, me too, until this time.
I just deleted them.

Previous domain owner had it for 3 years.

Same thing happened to me. I had recently bought the dot net of a place - profession and got the same email for $99. Went to check when this domain had fallen and sure enough it was unregistered.

I thought about emailing them backing and saying I wanted the domain, but they would have probably said they already sold it.

Same here.

Had Jenniferr [dot] net.

Got the famous email offering me the dot com for over $500.

Waited a few days.

Checked Whois: Available!

Regged it!

I've picked up a few this way as well ;)

Even if they have registered the domain , Many times they have just "tasted" it and tried to make a quick profit - So watch them for a few days.

Wow
This something which I had never heard of.
I generally never read such messages.
Now I am going to look out for such messages.

Did the same thing over the weekend.

I have the net & org versions of a domain and last week I received emails from 6 different groups notifying me they could get the com. On Friday night I ran a whois just for s***s & giggles and was happy and surprised to see the com version was available, needless to say I quickly regged it. It's not a great name (3 worder) but I think it has potential for the future.

For once, I'd like to thank the spammers!

Lol, too bad I only get these for my crappy domains!

I have to hold back from mailing back obscene remarks about their stupidity - as always, the domain offered at a high price is avail for hand reg!

I know exactly who that is and the funny thing is I told what' s so bad about a dot net when that's the name the company uses
