I prefer to go with two sites. As said above avoid duplicate content. By having two sites you have two gates to attract customers. You can use two websites and can do branding differently. Earn double now. Just focus on SEO of both.

The url's will change so there will be an effect on your search engines ranking but with redirect there should not be any problem. Also have a look at Google webmaster and see there what to do in case of redirects.
