Domains with a hypen, a bad thing?

I own a hyphenated domain that gets a lot of traffic. It just depends what you do with the website.

Another thing you should look for is over-optimized meta tags. Don't repeat your keyword in your title. If you change your title and see your ranking drop, leave it alone. Google looks to see what you do when your rankings drop and constant modifications indicate possible spamming.

My site has gone from unranked in Alexa to 8,000,000 in 10 days from YouTube

Youtube is also a great reputation builder. I know someone who started out with youtube videos, they took off, and she became so popular that she's been on several television shows.

Premium domains will make it through any update since they don't rely on the SERPs, but otherwise most parked domains do not rank post panda.

Link relevance

Are they all parked domains or built out websites? Even when you have different ips, the search engines recognize that the ips are on the same c-class server and that is typically an indication that the domains are owned by the same owner.

If you are going to sell links...

Here's the real threat if you sell links: people who are getting those unnatural link warnings in their webmaster tools are removing links and turning in that list to google. They are doing google's dirty work for them by revealing paid links.

Whats the exact difference between the Panda Update and Penguin Update?

Panda is all about the quality of your content. How many words are on each page? Are your pages formatted for visitors? Do they have photos and interactive features like videos? Penguin is all about spam. Look for keyword stuffing on site. Too many exact match anchor text back links. Also...

Google plans to penalize 'overly optimized' sites

I think there are a lot of flaws with this latest update, i.e. being able to spam to take down competitors. I wouldn't be surprised if google quietly made updates to correct the current results. I think it's still too early to come to any conclusions.
