There are so many reasons. Maybe that person is quite sick (or even dead), maybe the announcing email hasn't reached the destination (happened to me once), the owner lost his interest etc. You can't know.
What you can do is to take benefit of this thing. :D
What are the chances to guess the hint feature? Use a robot and you still have little chance.
Anyway, that seems like a big hit. I am sorry for this, as I was subscribed to some of those blogs.
I am not experienced in this particular Godaddy auctions, but I guess the potential $12 buyer has retracted his bid and so the highest bid was $11 or $10. Or maybe they discussed before and came to a deal.
Using a local domain name extension is definitely worth it, when you are trying to target a local audience. Works better than general .com's etc, if it's well optimized.
Try call-to-action subject lines, related to your website activity. And you should never lie about anything, unless you want the users to unsubscribe. Be creative and funny, when possible.
You will get your money for 3 years, so I'd say this is a great offer and you should sell. However, you know better than anyone how much is your site worth.
Good luck!
LLL.com is the best thing at this very moment. And yes, imho more people should go for domain names that are easy to remember and type. Long keyworded domains should only be bought for getting links from. :)
Please come back to us with a response. I bet many of us have been in this situation or might experience something like this. A good advice is welcome.
Thanks!
I agree with MicroGuy. All webmasters should dedicate a lot of their time to finding the perfect domain. Many would even say that domains are more important than great design and I agree.
Anyway, I am also curious about your method, ColorsDeluxe.
