It could be that I'm not into domaining enough but 22k for that domain seemed like a great price to get. But I've not been watching sales for years and I don't have comparable sales to that to make judgements. I see just regular old finance.com is undeveloped and I can imagine that's because...

GoDaddy is front runinng?

It could just be buggy. Namecheap shows mexico.mx is available to register but when you go through checkout, it shows it's taken.

You never actually said you couldn't log in. You also threatened to transfer 1,000 domains from GoDaddy, which you would need to be able to log in to do. I've never logged into GoDaddy with an e-mail address before. Glad you were able to log in.

Paypal tried to take Paypalsucks.com from their owners and lost. But the site was a developed site and not a parked domain. If I recall correctly, they were allowed to keep the domain as it was fair use. Same thing happened when Screech tried to get DustinDiamond.com In the case of Facebbok...

I remember when people were doing mini sites and I think compared to just parked pages, they were more profitable at the time. But if you are trying to sell a brand, having a wordpress site with a cool design and a few pages of unique content probably help sell the brand.

If you owned Tesla and also owned electriccars.com, would it not be beneficial to use the exact match domain on a different hosted server and create a website that links to Tesla? Perhaps an authority page or a comparison site that has Tesla as the winner. I feel like I've seen sites like this...

question How profitable is selling through auctions?

I haven't had much luck with GoDaddy 7-day auctions. I do think I had an offer/counter offer that received an offer and I was able to turn that into a 7-day auction with their offer as the opening bid. 7 days later it sold at their offer.
