    I've got a GoDaddy rep too. He just called me up one day and I was afraid it was going to end up being some sort of sales call but it wasn't. He has called a couple of times to let me know when their namefinder? namefind? auctions were coming up as there were a few that fit my niche interests...

    I think Dotdb does sell that. Sounds like an easy cash cow. Pretty much any website with some level of success will eventually decide to get the matching .com so if you had a list to swoop in and wait.

    I think $1 start, no reserve auctions on Namepros could be a good way to prove your concepts. I'd probably list a few of my less favorites first to build some feedback if you don't already have some. Then list a few goodies and see how high they go.

    I list my porkbun domains on Porkbun, DAN, Sedo and Afternic. One of the issues you may encounter is if the buyer on one of those other markets doesn't want to use Porkbun and the domain is still on a 60-day transfer lock.

    Snapnames and Namejet are both owned by Netsol or Web. So you have to use Netsol for 60 days. Plus, if you don't pay $12 for whois, you'll be getting more phone calls than if you registered a .us domain name. I can't imagine what happens if they catch a .us name for you...your phone company...

    Not logged in and you can't just browse. I usually just type .com into the search bar and then play with the search options from the next page. Not sure why it was worth $71 million other than I guess for the reputation, traffic and to keep a competitor from continuing to compete.

    If they left because of the boost, then just their departure is a boost in visibility if there's 20% less domain names on the marketplace.

    If you remember him explaining why he'd waste 44 billion buying Twitter and the renaming of X, he said he had a lot of plans for it. A more fleshed out social network and other things. So I guess the future will look more like the old AOL homepage.

    Knowing what I know about domains, spending 75% of your seed money on a domain name might normally be dumb but in this case, they can probably flip the domain name for $10,000,000 if they decide they don't want to build an AI biz any longer. As long as they can make all of the domain payments...
