discuss Do you know a lot of people making millions flipping domain names?

The people that you are referencing starting buying and selling domains in the 90's. They were trendsetters and there was far less overall interest / competition. Most aspiring domainers are still ruminating over .coms that 'The Greats' purchased for a few dollars +20 years ago. The China...

    .GROUP Domain Discussion

Just saw this domain in use today: http://ander.group/ I was searching for a different company named Ander and this ranks 1st page.

    .one extension

I like .one because it denotes high value and stature in the English language. Low registration / renewal costs. Perfectly brandable.

    discuss .AL Extension

loc.al sold for $5995 according to this weeks dnjournal sales report. Kinda low but affirms that there is value in .al hacks.

information Google says keywords in the TLD part of your URL are ignored for ranking purposes

Google has a long history of being deceptive. I wouldn't take anything they say at face value.

    opinion .es domain

I noticed that rapper Kevin Gates is using a .es hack for his primary website. He's on fire right now: www.kevingat.es

    Your Prediction for .Xyz

It seems like a very impractical extension. The fact that Google is using a .xyz is not as significant as people believe. Google missteps very frequently. They've invested billions into failed products like Wave, Buzz and Google+. Everything Google touches is not gold.

discuss What will be the floor price of LLLL.com at start of 2016?

The only thing worse than selling an LLLL.com for less than $200 is letting it drop! Less than 10 years ago, many LLLL.coms were worthless. Now, the seller will generally get over $200 for any old LLLL on a variety of platforms. How often do you see LLLL.coms go for less than $200 on Ebay...

Newly Funded Startups Not Using .com...Have Any Of These?

Early stage startups are often run by amateur cheapskates and the influx of new extensions makes it easier to choose a domain. I think this is why you see gtlds registered by early stage startups but not heavily acquired in the aftermarket.

strategy Would successful .IO startups have to eventually upgrade to .COM?

Keep in mind that EventBoard is funded by venture capitalists... over +$21MM in multiple rounds. This rebrand says nothing whatsoever about EventBoard's business model. For all we know this company is way in the red like many other US startups. The goal of most US startups nowadays is simply to...

.shop Showcase your new .shop domains here!

Wikileaks is already using Wikileaks.shop Looks like Julian Assange is a fan of gTLDs. But, what does he know about the web?!

    discuss .AL Extension

Renewal and Floral both strike me as strong hacks in the AL extension. Renew.al is really clean. Renew & Renewal in one domain. All sorts of uses from Licenses, to Domains, Medical Marijuana Recommendations, Skincare, Hair Products, Leisure activities... you name it. Love it. It's interesting...

    Is .US dead (??)

I watched Skate.us sell on Flippa a few months ago for approx $400. Now that skateboarding will be in the 2020 Olympics, that sale seems like a bargain.

Archaic platform stuck in the 2000s for sure.

new gtlds Startup using a new gTLD: Air.bar

Straight up! Many long time domainers are drunk on liquid value of the .com and in denial about the future. It's only a matter of time before premium gTLDs are in high demand for end users. Air.Bar is a strong domain and the product looks cool. Haters gone hate.

    Is .US dead (??)

I agree with everyone who said .US is widely in use. I've seen some pretty phenomenal .US domains go for very low prices recently. Not dead by any extent.
