Dofollow or Nofollow?

Both no follow and do follow links have their own place in search engine optimization. Most of the time, the importance of nofollow links are overlooked. Some marketers don't realize that no follow links are actually important for link profile building.

Article submission - Just to one good article site, or to multiple?

I think it's not a very good practice when done in an improper way. But let's take a tutorial for example; I guess it's perfectly fine to submit them a few times.

You missed the most important part of the question. Where does it succeed/fail? If you mean did it succeed in beating Facebook, well it hasn't, at least not yet. But if you mean just making and starting a name in the market, then yes.
