@James Rayers : I got in touch with GoLumeo for inputs on this and can confirm they did not participate in the auction. However, they mentioned that they were contacted by a certain person before auction offering the domain for sale at $32,000.
The auction has been won by a fake bidder who was...
I reached out to an end user of a domain which I bought in auction last month, and quoted a 4 figure price. The guy sends a LOL to me saying that this name was already offered to him for $400-$600 range last month.
I asked him to forward those emails to me, and it seems that 2 guys had reached...
Thanks for all the help, guys. I have sent the below reply. Fingers crossed!

Dear John,
The domain was already priced at a discount to its true market value.
This 20-year old premium domain is valued at $3900+ by GoDaddy.com. You can verify it here...
I sent out an email to a lead for one of my domains. Buyer asked how much I was looking for.
I quoted $3000, and he replied, "I think we can do that. What are the next steps?". I explained Escrow and set up the transaction.
After a few hours, Buyer replies: "Sadly, I may have jumped the gun...
There are 3 types of private registration.
One is like GoDaddy where your email becomes [email protected] where Name.com is the name you bought.
Second is like Network Solutions where the whois email becomes a random string of characters, like...
Yep, not worth bidding over $1k-$2k to a domainer. And as it turns out, not to the end user either. Fake auction. Fake bids.
Exactly. It isn't wise to bid over $1k on any name that can invite an UDRP especially when you are reaching out to end users actively.
I know who the runner up is, and...
There was a time when DropCatch had a very strict bidder verification in place. You had to supply proper IDs and do a credit card verification and shill bidding was very limited.
However, in recent times DropCatch bidder verification has new lows. Now, you don't even need to upload any kind of...
It is safe to assume that most people on the forum have limited capital and hence the risk appetite to buy high-value names is finite.
With so many startups getting funded these days, what if an investor came to you and proposed a funding of say $10 Million for investing in domains?
Would you...
Also, I love the landers used by Huge Domains. Highly effective. If you can get something like that made, you might see a significant increase in sales activity.
Epik landing page is best for hand-regs on Epik. Vodoo is nice too.
I would recommend Efty but I find them expensive. :P
But nothing can really beat your own system. Nothing.
Just got this email from a certain Gary Gills working at InFact Domains, a company specialising in front running domains and scamming people.

We have started accepting offers for the premium domain name BUFAI.COM. This notification gives you the chance to secure this domain name with the...
I would say you should rather call up the end user in question rather than pinging him on WhatsApp.
Most people consider WhatsApp their personal space and might take offence if they start receiving domain spam.
The reason for this person to use the alias "GoLumeo" seems to be that he was hoping it would drive the price down.
He assumed that Domainers would probably not out-bid an end-user in the auction. But obviously, the strategy backfired.
