discuss How Is This Possible Mike Mann? Please Share Some!

Could be that the buyer/broker was monitoring the domain for dns change. Once it changed they knew it was available and boom a nice sale for him.

discuss Question: ccTLD value vs. .com 10% at best ?

I remember reading and hearing on domain shows that the ccTLD (.us, .ca, etc.) should be at best 10% of the value of .com Now I'm looking for some links to send out to explain that to someone. Do any of you have any info on the value expectation of a .us or .ca vs. the .com. I'm thinking the...

How many illegal GoDaddy premium BuyItNow names are there?

@mpls Exactly, GoDaddy and Afternic should require proof of ownership. This needs to be confirmed on a regular basis as well. Maybe my domain name was reg'd before and listed before by a previous owner. When he/she stopped being the owner it should have been removed. Wild West Domains indeed!

information Is 2017 Crunch Time for the Domain Industry?

@deez007 100% true. If someone relies totally on a platform they don't own or control they are at mercy to the whims of that co or platform. every biz needs a website that they can build up to go along w social, brick and mortar, etc.

Can Donuts save .business and .company by slashing pricing for new customers?

They should charge between .49 cents and .99 cents and track renewals and live site builds. Renewals should be at a steep discount as well. One thing that needs to be remembered is that each and every biz or person that launches a site on a new gTLD is helping that ext. grow in value by...

information Your biggest mistakes in domaining

Not buying better names on the aftermarket when I started since I was so pumped about all the good hand reg available. Some of those hand reg were awesome but are no where close to the deals that were available for short and one word .com's back then. Another one that is probably common amongst...

What can the domain community do to become more credible?

The biggest thing the domain industry can do to be more credible is educate people about domains. Once someone "gets" it that domains are like real estate and understands them they are likely to purchase one at some point and as we all know once you buy one domain well find me anyone who stopped...

What is your fav new gTLD?

@Ategy.com Just a note on spam. No domain has more spam than .com If companies want to block legit customers because they have a cool new GTLD...well that's not very smart.

What is your fav new gTLD?

I'm excited about .blog except the one I want is premium over $2 grand so I won't be getting that one. The most glaring mistake from these new gTLDs is the super premium pricing. They would make it up in volume if these were released with a slight premium and awareness would be much bigger...

advice .XYZ or .INFO or .IO?

lol google uses .xyz for one of its most important pages. Obviously a one word .com has over 2 decades of market proof, go with that if you can. But dismissing .xyz when the biggest internet company in the world stands behind it is interesting. 5 years ago people were laughing at 4L.com so...
