Now that .land is available to hand registration, I thought I'd start a thread for it.
I think this is one of the best gTLDs to date. The geographic possibilities are pretty good, and a lot of neat branding possibilities are possible.
On the other hand, there are some pitfalls to worry about, such as avoiding names like Lego.land (Yikes! Obvious one), which, thankfully, Lego did register.
Overall, just about every domain (in all gTLDs) I registered and pre-registered had the trademark notice, but they were for very generic words used for non-descriptive use. I also made sure that the entire term (including the string) did not infringe or was diluted. It's tricky, so if you reg any of these, take care, and check USPTO.gov and Markify.com for both the keyword and gTLD string. I spent yesterday checking these out and sussing out if the trademark (if any) on both the individual word and entire string was far enough away from the use I intended.
Also, if you're still registering names, Dynadot is MUCH cheaper than Go Daddy, and they have resolved their forwarding problem.
Anyway, I have in my accounts:

Sioux.land (I grew up in that area)
Rich.land (Geographic and descriptive of a type of land, typically, farming land)
