Although I may not agree, this person in question is actually exercising freedom of expression - kinda like 1st Ammendment rights in USA by emulating Japanese anime. While apparently s/he is an effective HS teacher (not elementary), or the school board ought to readress it's dress code or s/he may want to look for another line of work, but this does not predispose one to child abuse IMO. Dicey...

I'm not quite sure what this has to do with US politics...except that maybe it offends Tucker Carlson. I did a deep-dive and this person has completed all the sex-abuse prevention training courses provided by the ministry. I'm sure they've got eyes in the classroom.

For instance, in 2022 Canada will surpass the United States as the world’s most educated country.

If you surpassed anyone, it was Russia, the 2nd most educated country. That aside, I take all such reports (world's freest country, world's most expensive country, etc.) with several grains of salt.

In the case of education in particular, what passes for educated in the US and Canada is not education at all, but indoctrination. I am curious what the figures would be if they ignored majors in Gender Studies and Intersectionality and focused on engineers, scientists, etc.

Japan's higher education is mostly fluff as well. Good students are rewarded with 4 years of fun at top universities that used to guarantee them top jobs. No need to study. The rest go to middling colleges and some to other "schools" that charge a lot of money to train them for various careers. Even the top universities, though, are several levels below most Western schools because of nepotism, parochialism and politics.

At least they don't turn out students who are dumber than they were when they entered, as US and Canadian schools do.
