Hey Folks,

I've just started using squadhelp.com to list some of my brandable. So far I have 76 domains listed, there is no fee to list. I've had some decent action so far in the way of interested buyers but no sales as of yet. I've only been with them for 1 week now.

A bit of a summary review of SquadHelp:

PROS
  • No Listing fee
  • No Logo design fee
  • Ability to submit your names to end users holding naming contests
  • Ability to chat directly or send a message directly to end users.
  • Stats of your marketplace domains are shown in the marketplace dashboard.
  • Their customer service and support has been great, 24hr a day chat.
  • Ability to increase or decrease the list price of your domains or to show a discount. You can decrease or increase the price yourself by $200. If you want to lower more, you can contact support.
  • End users can shortlist your domains before they make a decision on which they want to purchase. The number of shortlists is shown in you marketplace dashboard.
  • When you submit your names you get to set the price you wish to get. Because their commissions are high I recommend listing at a higher price to offset the commission costs.
  • Their landing pages are fairly basic but they work. Because the marketplace is fairly new, I'm sure we will see style improvements in the future.
  • One thing I really like is they accept multiple extensions. I have listed .co and .io along with .com
  • Each seller gets a direct link to their marketplace portfolio, HERES MY PORTFOLIO. It is handy if your trying to p[promote your portfolio through social media.
  • I like that their marketplace doesn't have tens of thousands domain listings like BB. They are fairly strict on the domains they accept to list and so this helps keep the number of domains in the marketplace down and gets your listings more exposure.
CONS
  • Their commissions are very high, depending on the domain name they are usually between 30% and 35%. However, there are no listing fees, no logo design fees, so in the end their commission is very similar to brand buckets.
  • Their logos are not top quality, in fact I requested to have some of my logos remade.
  • I think they have a big backlog of logos to design, the wait time for logo design has been around 1 week, but your names are still listed while the logos are being designed.
  • After your names are accepted you need to agree to their commission rate, at this point you also need to apply your own keywords, descriptions etc. I found this was very time consuming.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@GrantP

I am looking at clarity and visitors frequently click on the image text instead of the BuyNow button for WLM listings. I put in a suggestion last month through blue chat for putting a cart icon next to the BuyNow button just like it is for the premium listings, but not sure if it's under consideration?

Thanks.

WARNING TO ALL WHOLESALE MARKETPLACE USERS - THE WHOLESALE MARKETPLACE IS CURRENTLY TOO UNSTABLE TO BE USED. ALL NAMES INCLUDING NEW NAMES THAT ARE SENT TO THE WHOLESALE MARKETPLACE NO LONGER SHOW ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE WHOLESALE MARKETPLACE. MERELY SORTING WILL NOT SHOW EITHER.

YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO WAIT FOR 48 HOURS BEFORE REPORTING THE ABOVE PROBLEM USING THE BLUE BUTTON. AFTER REPORTING, ONLY A FEW OF MY REPORTED NAMES GOT FIXED.

BUYERS BEWARE - THERE IS CURRENTLY AN ONGOING CASE WHERE MY WHOLESALE BUYER WAS CHARGED WITHOUT GETTING THE NAME INTO ESCROW STATUS.

I ADVISE ALL OF YOU TO HOLD OFF ON ALL SH WHOLESALE ACTIVITY UNTIL SH FIXES ALL THE PROBLEMS.

CHECK YOUR WHOLESALE LISTINGS, ASK YOUR REGULAR BUYERS, AND REPORT ANY ISSUES TO SH ASAP!

MORE TO ADD

And this is for a name that was fixed and purchased on the same day. If it wasn't fixed I doubt it'll be bought for a long time. Which means the regular gold+ wholesale buyers aren't likely to be notified of new wholesale listings

There are lots and lots of "little issues" at Squadhelp. They could really use some squad-help.

So I decided to try promoting the entire SH Catalog on my WLM and immediately ran into some questions. I have read your policy on Revenue Generating Landing Pages (https://helpdesk.squadhelp.com/en/articles/4599038-revenue-generating-landing-pages-beta) but it only speaks about direct type-in traffic. I'm promoting my domain names on social media and now I'm also doing some paid advertising and some online networking as well. So my question is:

1. If someone clicks on my link on social media (or elsewhere) or clicks on my paid ad, lands on my WLM and then ends up buying a domain name that belongs to SH or another seller, will I get that 10% commission from SH share? It's not direct type-in traffic, but this sale happened only because I managed to bring this buyer to my WLM.

Also, I feel perplexed that once I chose to promote the entire SH Catalog on my WLM it resulted in the names of other sellers being displayed at the top of “all names” and at the top of every single category, while my names are buried somewhere deep. So this means that I put effort and money into bringing potential buyers to my WLM and then they don't even see my names? O_o Wouldn't it be fair to let the owners of WLM have their names with logos displayed at the top of "view all names" / "All names" and at the top of each category in their WLM to at least give them a chance to be seen by potential buyers that visited WLM because of the owner’s efforts? And then if the buyer saw all names of the owner of WLM and did not find what they were looking for, they could see names of other sellers because that still leaves an opportunity for the owner of WLM to earn commission in case the buyer ends up buying a domain name that belongs to SH or another seller (win-win for all). Ideally, the names of the owner of WLM could be shown at the top of all keyword search results, if they match the criteria, of course.

I'm okay with my names competing with the names of other sellers if I choose to promote the entire SH catalog. I'm not okay with my names not even being shown on my own WLM where I bring potential buyers by investing my own money and time.

So my next question is:

2. Could we please have the option to keep our domain names with logos (or at least just premium ones) at top of "all names" and at the top of each category of our WLM?

@GrantP could you please comment on this?

@GrantP if a miracle happens and you will visit this thread (;)), could you please address this issue? I blue buttoned it more than once, I was told that this should be implemented in the 'near future', but it's been more than two months and nothing changed.

And could you please address this issue too: https://www.namepros.com/threads/squadhelp-marketplace.1120686/page-106#post-8395787 (it's about 'featured' feature not working properly on WLM's)

Looking at the top sellers dashboard almost everyone went private, including JudgeMind

I would like to know what this guy/girl is selling > pretty good STR, not sure if this is a bug though.

For me personally was ok the last few months : 4 sales in the last 6 month from a portfolio of almost 200. STR at 3,53% but since September nothing happens...

Squadhelp September sales report for brandaim

Its the last day of September so i figured i should share my experience with squadhelp for the month of September. Currently have 818 premium live listings. Once again noticed a decline in shortlists and views this month. Only 1 sale on an instalment plan which happened on September 1st, will share the name after instalment plan is finished. The sale price was $1699. Despite reducing about half of my prices closer to $2000, still did not have any success. Not a good outlook. The last several months have seen declining sales, inquiries and shortlists. Hoping this is directly related to the summer and holidays... October will be the real test. If a similar experience in October to September, we will have to reconsider things.

@JudgeMind

Care to share with us the update for October and November? I noticed BraindAim now resolves to Alter. Have you been removing your premiums or just diversified simply? Thanks

Hello!

I've received an e-mail from Squadhelp some minutes ago saying that they will lower the commission for premium domains listed with them for more than two years starting with Jan 1 2022.

The new commission structure:

Selling Price Below $2499: 25% (Submission with Coins) 30% (Free Submission/without Coins)
$2500 to $5000: 25%
$5000 to $50K: 22.5%
$50K to $75K: 17.5%
$75K to $125K: 12.5%
Above $125K: 10%

They've also said "In addition, the SH commission for Afternic sales will also reduce for 2+ year old listings as announced in the discussion forum".

I believe it's a good idea.

What do you think about these changes? :)

Got 15 names listed with SH.... With 100 shortlists, 12.81 shortlist/views % (calculated manually), Yet to achieve any sale... So without a sale quite difficult to say anything ...

Study this help article (you need to be logged-in to view the article): https://www.squadhelp.com/partial-exclusivity-option

Send a support request to Afternic and mention all the domains which are listed there by the previous owner. Ask Afternic to remove all these domains. Maybe it will take for them a few days to remove these domains.

Then in your Squadhelp dashboard, under the listings ( https://www.squadhelp.com/marketplace-listings ), click on the "Sell In Afternic" button, and authorize all the domains for Afternic. Maybe you need to use some coins here. You need to authorize a domain first, before you can list it on Afternic. Then download the list with the "Afternic authorized" button and list the eligible domains on Afternic manually at the price you see in the csv file. So this "Afternic authorized" button will download a csv file, which contains all the domains which are authorized for Afternic. And you will see the prices as well. Now visit Afternic and manually list these domains, using this csv file. Follow the prices you see in the csv file.

But you need a minimum of 50 Premium listings on Squadhelp for Afternic authorization.

Don't forget to remove a sold domain manually from Afternic as soon as possible. So if you sell a domain on Squadhelp, then immediately remove that domain from Afternic.

If you change the price of a domain on Squadhelp, then immediately change the price on Afternic, too.

And if you sell a domain on Afternic, then you must notify Squadhelp about this sale immediately.

Does anyone actually make Squad Help sales anymore?

I have over 100 premium names and havent had a sale in a long, long time.

Have had multiple sales on other platforms, mostly Afternic and Dan.com though.

Listed almost around 20 names in SH in last few months. Have worked quite a bit to reach a level where my names were getting accepted. Purchased few SH names at NP too. Doesn't seem like a good news. Would like to know how other SH sellers are doing now?
And do any SH representative are here to respond to our queries. Overall feedback seems to be negative now.

One more thing I observed, This thread was started by @JudgeMind and he literally has been one of the top sellers for SH, him leaving SH is not a good sign. Also as of now, there seems to be no communication from SH regarding the situation. If there are any SH representatives here please do tag them.

I am selling the domain name of my Squadhelp WLM (White Label Marketplace), it has been indexed by Google for 10 months already, and it is getting a few visitors from Google occasionally. It is a great domain for a WLM and the price is just 8.99 USD, see here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/brandcitadel-com-8-99-usd.1261170/

You can just add it as a WLM domain, and then its content will remain the same. Great domain if you are planning to launch your WLM.

This is what I see on one of my names (that actually starts with the keyword Growth) landing page:

1640106004460.png
How come these names are listed as top names based on the keyword growth? :D I'm aware that names that show up in the "based on keyword" tab do not necessarily have to have that exact keyword in them, but to my understanding, they at least should be relevant.

It's correct, all these names are based on the root word "quality". Visit their landing pages, and you will see it under the "Root Words" section, on their landing pages. The sellers fill in these root words, they can enter here anything.

Yeah, I know that. And I see a problem with that - irrelevant keywords assigned to names that have nothing to do with them :) If there are many such names with irrelevant root words assigned to them then automatic recommendations become biased and instead of relevant names potential buyers see some random names and then might leave without making a purchase.

WRONG

now for the root word

so yes something is definitely wrong here
p.s I have domain with the word "Beauty" not only as part of the Domain name but also in the keyword and it's not even on the first page.
