This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Name: Natsukashii(.)com
Venue: Dan.com make offer.
Price: $3500
Acquisition cost: $280

Bought a few Sav.com $280 bins last year and this one was the 1st to sell. Paid for the rest and then some.

Investment reasoning: Natsukashii 懐かしい
is a Japanese word describing the feeling of nostalgia.

Do not include the name with a regular period in your responses. No more details.

f/o/o/d/i/q .co
Sales Venue: Afternic
Sales Price: $199
Cost: 99 cent promo in July

Part of my first .co experiment in July at Epik in the .co, have broke even on that and have another 250 or so left for a year to free roll. Still working on finding my niche, but the small sales will keep things going until I can turn some of my better .co, .com and .xyz names to roll up into better names. This name was not fast transfer as it was at Epik, I don't add anymore names there, but hopefully next year they can get back into the fast transfer program at Afternic, time will tell.

No Further Details.

Again a clearance sale.

Afternic BIN, hold time 1 year minus 2 days. Hand reg.

Edit: It seems to me these have all been under watch and now 2 days before expiry some users rush to buy them while still available... Otherwise why the sudden jump in sales.

Twiki is .xyz showing better performance for you this time?
Absolutely. But I bet it is due to larger numbers approaching expiry these days, in my portfolio.

No more details (keeping thread clean, thanks)

Crazy name
Crazy sale
and regged on a whim and sold within days of reg. Just finished transfer after reg lock

I did think of regging more TLDs but stopped short and the day I sold this, tons of this in other TLDs were regged, probably by the same buyer. One of friends also happen to sell one in another TLD for similar price lol... he doesn't report so I am not mentioning the TLD.

Two-worder xyz. Nice, good sign. (y)(y)

lol no its not a good sign ..do u have any idea what are the odds of selling 2word xyz?

seriously if xyz wasnt 1usd or less to reg... then every investor would be totally screwed.

Yes, and anyone can easily get this info within 15 min. Go to NameBio, download all the sales of .xyz, check across, highlight all 2words, then calculate the 2words to all sales ratio. You can break it by years too, to see the dynamics.

Well, in Russia there is an expression: if the grandma had a dick, that would be a grandpa. If dot com instead of $7.50 would cost $100 for registration and each renewal, ALL domainers would be screwed, there would be no business model at all. It's like... what is the point to assume hypothetically? We are where we are with every extension, and we should try to get the most out of it. .xyz is clearly rising in popularity, whatever the reason behind it (there are various reasons in reality).

I've sold quite a number of 2-word xyz and my end result is, it works but most in low to mid xxx range. And the tlds don't guarantee it gets sold. The prices I've seen around are usually too high, I did the same mistake for a longer while too. (no more comment will follow, keeping thread impact minimal)

I am not arguing with that. The top quality 2worders to sell if xxxx - will be with lots of tlds taken, high traffic volume, hot niches. And it's definitely uncertain when their time will come for more massive sales. In a few tens of my 2words I am ready to wait 2+ years, for sure.
Nothing is guaranteed, indeed.

Sorry to All for this never-ending xyz battle, will make no more remarks too.
