So doing my cardio yesterday, and got a message from a domain seller with whom I initiated the discussion about casino.cool domain name something like a year ago. At that time, they wanted a higher price which was no bargain to me, but after a year, they accepted my initial price offer (which was, honestly, pretty much law ball)

TLDR: I just purchased CASINO.COOL for less than 1K!

What a time to be alive!

But, and to be honest ... as I stated multiple times on this forum ... do not let your best assets go cheap. While I do understand that many of you do not yet understand the value of good new domain names, some names simply scream quality! Do not sell them to guys like me who already have enough, hold something good for yourselves as well!

And what do you think guys? Am I getting value, or is the seller getting value exchanging a name like this for a little bit of money, which are being printed now each and every day anyway? :) Share your honest, 2021, opinion!

It's a pretty nice gif, IMO. The bills are too big and aren't actually flushing so it appears like the money can still be saved (unlike some investments). :xf.smile: I visited your site. It looks great (the English needs some improvements). I'm not against new gtlds. You have some very good domains alongside some headscratchers. While .com is king, when the combination in a new gtld is natural, it can definitely sell and sometimes for a lot. But for alliteration to work- the order has to be correct. Would you name a business Casino Cool? I wouldn't and I think most people wouldn't. Cool Casino would make more sense as a name with alliteration. The whole point of alliteration is to use words that in their current order create a meaningful name/phrase. In the same way that LittleLamb.com is worth a lot while LambLittle.com is worth much less (corrected myself. I first wrote that isn't worth a penny but I saw now that there's actually a company who's using it). I think you should consider that in future purchases.
Thanks @SuperBrander for a nice words about the website, I much appreciate it!

Damn, are there still some mistakes in English? Can you please give me some examples? That site was checked by few people so I was under the impression it should be fine
- my English is not very good, so need to rely on others.

Yep, personally, I would name the business Casino Cool, if I have casino.cool domain name, why not? To me, it sounds good. Maybe it is because I am not natural English speaker, but also people like me are buying domains and name businesses :)

MyWifeIsNot.cool or MyWifeIs.cool is a better name.
I think.

Regarding the site- I think you need people with better English to go over all the texts. There are a lot of little things. Even the title- 'Invest in new generation of domain names' isn't in correct English. 'Invest in the new generation of domain names' would be in proper English.

My example with LambLittle wasn't that great, because in this particular case a company called Lamb Little is using the .com... haha. LittleLamb.com is of course worth much more, but let's replace that example with better ones where the reversed version is definitely less good:

BetterBehavior.com vs BehaviorBetter.com
BreakBread.com vs BreadBreak.com
AmericanApparel.com vs ApparelAmerican.com

Cool is the adjective. Casino is the noun. Just like you'll say 'Big Bear' and not 'Bear Big', Cool needs to be first in order to make sense. Anyway... I of course hope you'll sell this domain and like I said you own very good ones so even if this one doesn't sell, I think you'll make that money back selling something else. Good luck!(y)

I'm sure there are casinos with names where the word casino comes first, although I can't remember any specific names right now. Or maybe the word was used but it wasn't about casinos. Then, of course, there is the blockbuster Bond film "Casino Royale".

I could envisage that a casino, or a chain of casinos, or an online gambling site, named Casino Cool may gain traction.

@Mike Goodman Every rule has an exception. But when investing in domain names, the investor's job is to invest in the most logical options in order to increase the chance of getting inquiries and sales. There's actually a 'Cool Casino' in existence in Aruba. There's also a 'Cool Cat Casino'. 'Casino Cool' doesn't exist. The reason for that is that 'Casino Cool' isn't in the logical order of the words. Investing (I'm presuming high) $XXX on the off chance a casino would come along and decide to call itself 'Casino Cool' AND be on a new gtld AND be the first reported sale above $600 in that gtld simply isn't a logical investment choice. An investor can get lucky and sometimes crazy things happen, but as far as risk/reward- making these kind of decisions consistently is the sure way to lose a lot of money.

@Mike Goodman I was curious, so I looked more into casino names. It seems like there are some countries where the word 'Casino' can appear as the first word in the name (probably due to differences in the structure of sentences in different languages. It also explains Casino Royale). Puerto Rico for example has some casinos starting with the word 'Casino'. The overwhelming majority of casino names in the US and in other countries end in 'Casino' though. So the OP is a bit lucky in that regard because there's a chance he'll get an inquiry from a country where it makes more sense. Still, there are a million names a casino could call itself. Is Casino Cool an option? Everything is an option and there are tons of possible company names that can be handregistered right now with the same likelihood of a sale. Since no company named itself 'Casino Cool' up till now, betting on it happening and that the company would be willing to pay more than he paid instead of buying the .com from Huge Domains for 5K is exactly that- betting because the decision isn't based on data and is extremely speculative. For a few bucks- it might be worth it to some people who are bullish on new extensions despite the data regarding the .cool extension that shows no reported sales above $600. But there are much better investment opportunities for $XXX so it's always better to rely on data rather than a hunch.

I thought the premise of the newer extensions was running across the dot. Two-word .COM domain sales are common so a two-word domain which would be a strong brand could work if the first word works well with the extension...

Miami.Condos
Running.Club
Sports.Car

If I saw CasinoCool.com in an expiring drops list at Godaddy closeouts would I pick it up for $5? No! Waste of money IMO but if someone has experience selling .Cool or Casino keywords they may view things differently. I backordered many .TV domains between 2009 and 2012 which were decent keywords but the demand for aftermarket domains in alternative extensions is far less than most realize. Domains can be powerful brands but 99.99% of the world still does not view them in that light. They would rather make up their own reg fee domain than pay a premium to an investor (not the phrase usually used).

Marek

Searched for live use .cool extension with key word casino Using this search string in google site:".cool" and casino

Couple of results are:

casinobonus.cool
casino-z.cool
spilleautomater.cool

In general, search google found these tenuous links

coolplay.co.uk
coolbets.com
coolcasinoaruba.com

Casino followed by the word cool doesn’t even sound good let alone make sense.

That’s just the reality.

Online casinos are generally well funded and want a very good name. So I suppose your market might be a low end casino that doesn’t have money to burn.

Reg fee domain. Nothing special - 'cos of the extension. I can even dash a list with thousands of such domains at reg fee.

FYI, there's a horse by that name, sired by a 3 time world champion.

The horse is worth a pretty penny ;)

well when u sell this for whatever amount u will also get the same type of money that's printed every day.. lol

I appreciate your enthusiasm but its bordering fortitude that u made killer deal and guaranteed roi...I mean this isn't some cool .com... its just a top keyword with crap extension basically.. I own bitcoins.,.,gdn

so what ...its not selling

frankly if I sold someone this name for 1k I'd be jumping joy...even if it's that money printed every day heheh

I like your site and you have some nice GTlds. Good like with Casino.Cool!

Generally speaking it's a poor name and on face value wont sell, or for very little.

Stepping away from "face value" and "professional comments and evaluations", the proof is simply in the sales history. Casino in every extension possible has been sold for 3 or 4 figures, more for good ones.

casino.ro - $253K - 2018-10-09
casino.online - $201K - 2017-03-22
casino.buzz - $20K - 2020-04-24
casino.co.jp - $20K - 2017-06-23
casino.uk.com - $14K - 2016-06-12
casino.live - $5K - 2016-02-18
casino.co.ke - $5K - 2017-06-13
casino.sv - $4K - 2019-03-06

Some are obviously nicer names not being .cool extension, like with .live and .buzz. But some are equally rubbish like .sv and some are not even top level like uk.com etc.

Not saying a value for casino.cool, it's a total gamble if it'll sell or if no more then low 3 figures. I'd have definitely bought it for very low $$$ or $$ but no more.

Sometimes a little gamble is worth it, I bought "corporate.casino", which wasn't hugely expensive..

Great word, but have some doubts about the extension.

CasinoCool///COM is selling $5,795 by hugedomains ... if a big company will acquire this one, you have good chance to sell them yours at an affordable price ... I already got nice words on other extensions but without offers for over years, good luck !!!

Or maybe casinocool(dot)se will be interested.

I agree! It is a great time to be alive and involved in domaining. Sometimes you just gotta go for it.

So I dont love the name, but I think it has a better chance than some people here think.

Casino names follow the Casino + "word" naming structure pretty often (Casino Royale, Casino Arizona, etc)

Casino Cool doesn't sound quite right, but hey, its a global market, someone out there might think it is the perfect name.

With Las Vegas heating-up faster than any city in the US, Casino.Cool would be a great domain, and/or ad campaign, for the Nevada Tourism board to showcase what (carbon-offsets) the state and casinos are doing to keep things cool... as news of heat related deaths increase.

Casino.Cool is nice name...I have no idea on .cool, but words like Casino, Game, Sex, always the best keywords in most case.(the .cool owner bet it on M$, Why u cannot spend such xxx$ to own its best keywords? u may want think in this way....)..recently, for some reason, I checked Casino.Casa, I think they running very well...u may can build a similar site like that one...

btw, what is renew fee, may I assuming regular below or around $20? I remember last time u request to buy ngtld but u state regular renew fee is one of the criteria....if it ask high renew fee...then it may become a trouble...

So for me the news here was that .Cool exists. Maybe i've seen it but since it really is terrible, I forgot about it.

It's either the OP knows exactly what they're doing, & .com investors should keep an open mind, or that it really is just another crappy extension that is not Cool, imho.

Congrats on your acquisition!
