The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Is what you wrote actually what happened? A domain you own was stolen from another person (?), who is a user on NP? How did that other person have control of the domain to allow it to be stolen?

I think a bit more info is needed.

Ah, so your domain has been stolen "by" another NP member, not "from".

When I first read it I thought someone had stolen a transfer code from a NP buyer (hacked their PMs, etc.), but its clear now, thanks.

As for what you can do, just give it a bit more time, but in the future, never transfer a domain without payment in hand, no matter if it's $9 or $9,000. If he doesn't pay in a reasonable time (a few days for $9 is enough), report him to NP and get his rating properly adjusted.

Thank you for the questions. I sold the domain name on here for $9 in an auction. I let the domain name transfer before requesting money. Once the domain name transferred, the buyer pretended like he was going to pay but it has been over an hour later and excuses are being made.
Wonder who it was on here, but you do need to relax he has up to 7 days to pay per namepros policy, 1 hour is not sufficient time to acquire whoever it is as being a crook. Namepros might move this to discussion you should ask them as this doesn't belong in auction section.
Thanks

The issue was that I gave them the domain name before being paid.

I'll do this next time. I figured $9 was a low amount so it would be a relatively quick transaction. In addition, he let me transfer before deciding that he couldn't pay.

Relax boy.
Looks like you are the one getting really angry over this $9 dispute.
You guys shouldn't defend this type of behavior. It is unethical.

Please add Mod Team Echo to the direct message you have with the buyer so we can investigate and get more involved.

You can add us by visiting the direct message and clicking the "Add more people" link under the participants box.

Thanks.

I know you gave him domain first but you are not being reasonable if you get mad after 1 hour of non-payment. You should at least allow 2 or 3 days before entering panic mode.

He claimed that he couldn't pay me through paypal. So if he couldn't pay me through paypal then how was he going to pay me?

Ask him if he is unable to pay if he can return the domain although the mods would agree on here his offer was binding.

Exactly. This is the picture he sent me as an excuse to why he couldn't use PayPal. That is when I realized that the domain name was stolen.

@Mod Team Echo Could your team please delete this thread?
I wouldn't lose any sleep over $9 USD that is so little money. I'm pretty sure you'll get things sort out but again it shouldn't cause your blood pressure to raise

In the future, I believe that domain name will be worth way more $9. It's an insult that someone would try to get out of paying such a low amount.

I agree a deal is a deal it would have been best if he just paid. Chances are he could have a friend send the $'s to you or something if his pp isn't working properly. There is no reason not to pay for a win on namepros.

Please read the guide we provided a link for in our previous reply for the answer to that.

We are still waiting for you to add us to the direct message that took place to verify your claims in two separate threads now. We are trying to help you.

Thanks.

After I made public what happened; the domain name was given back to me. I now want to move on and hopefully get this thread deleted.

You stole the domain back (JK)?

We are glad to hear that you were able to resolve this matter amicably.

Unfortunately, the options provided in the guide we linked you to are the only options available.

It would still be helpful if you could add us to that direct message so we can investigate further and try to prevent anything like that from happening again, to anyone else.

The safety and security of our members is our number one priority and your cooperation would be appreciated.
