When you say he wants to get illegals free medical, are you saying he ONLY wants to get human beings inside America who immigrated to America illegally free medical?

Debatable proving free healthcare is a human right. Natural rights are self-evident and do not require work or usury from others.

Mercy, grace, humanitarian obligation definitely,.

Or are you saying he wants to get free medical to ALL human beings inside America regardless of their immigration status?

How on Earth could America afford potentially a vast majority or the world's health problems, if it became common practice to get free medical in America, then go back to their home country??

To do something like that, the US would have to redirect funds meant for overseas wars and foreign policy, to stateside hospitals and healthcare.

But why would the US, a country known for it's dominant warchest and foreign involvement, do an about face and concentrate their efforts on becoming the world's leader in universal health care? Where's the capitalism in that humanity?

What kind of world would we be living in if God forbid healthcare was classified as a human right; rather than a privilege?

Surely the advancement in technology can't assist in making this once thought of impossible feats, possible.

Rather, let's roll back progressive healthcare policy, and go back to the dark ages of things such as the heartbeat bill. Because it's what Jesus would do?

I'll assume by "progressive healthcare" you mean Obama Care or the Affordable Care Act. The problem is, it wasn't affordable, flexible or even sustainable.

While I don't have all the answers, I think state based solutions are more inline with the principals of our Republic and will provide adequate care without violating our the Constitution or personal rights / freedoms.

Oregon is a decent example, using re-insurers to cover preexisting condition.

It's the height of hypocrisy and arrogance for an atheist who to act like he knows what Jesus would do.

Do you know what the millennials call Clint Eastwood?

Some might call him the grand torino guy.

Others will have to Google him.

And the politically engaged ones will reference him as the crazy old guy who yelled at a chair. The old grandpa that's off his rocker, and nobody really listens to, because he's stuck in the old days, and on his way out anyways.

...

Pretty sure this is edited...?

To act?

Or to try and understand how some (politicians included) mix religion with politics?

Show me in the Bible, old or new Testament where God would approve of abortion.

Why?

I don't want to mix politics with religion.

There are so many religions. We will never agree which one to follow.

So why should a Bible be referenced when discussing law?

Maybe something more up to date with today's times and capabilities should be referenced?

Nice back pedal. You're the person who claimed to know what Jesus would or wouldn't like.

The Bible is the inspired word of God and describes his character. If you're going to make judgments about what Jesus would or wouldn't like expect to show your work.

and on his way out anyways.

Lighten up bud!!!, please. Welcome to participating in the NP's snake pit, but you don't need to show your fangs and lash out. Death Wish (Bronson) or Dirty Harry were better examples than Gran Torino.

All the "OLD" people one or two generations before me even actually invented what the simplicity the younger generation enjoys today in transportation, technology, telecommunications, computing, etc. and are now being criticized by younger ones.

What is this sort of treatment anyway? 85 year old expressing his right to free speech. Getting beaten by some younger moron.

Remember the US actually went to the moon (Yet AOC says "we" as though she was part of it), built the trains, planes, roads, and stadiums and monuments. The IC- was created by the Space Program funding- paid for by previous generations- now that Smart phone discarded annually that the Kardasians hold up taking selfies like it was nothing are clueless to it's guts inside and technology creation with wafer production, micro lithography, sputtering machines, etc.

The right to not be offended isn't in the bill-of-rights. In fact, "Hate speech" is Free speech.

Just imagine, what about all those before who are dead or died in WW1 and WW2 fighting against Nazi Germany and Japan would do today- they would go out and kick all the young peoples asses for not respecting their sacrifices- if they were alive today. Except modern Liberal education for 30 years hasn't taught that, rather focusing on being "Sensitive" and "Politically Correct".

What about this clown?- he actually publicly admitted his ignorance. Mad has been around decades and still is online, it's not generational that was a dufus lame excuse.

Strange, I wonder if he even knows who George Patton, Buzz Aldrin, Houdini, Winston Churchill, or George Carlin is either.
There is a similarity in looks to both these guys, hence Trumps making up a name for him.

The US was formed around Judeo Christian values. While I am an Atheist, I respect that fact and believe in those values and respect those who are believers in Christ.

The US Constitution isn't based on other religions practiced in other countries such as Buddism, Hinduism, nor Islam. People can freely believe in whatever they want- that's the nice thing about the USA. It's when the separation of "Church and State" get mixed up there are issues. That applies everywhere.

Jeffersons Koran was explained a few days ago by @GILSAN. You might read his post.

The Constitution makes no mention of Christianity or Jesus. It's a secular document.

"Washington's administration even negotiated a treaty with the Muslim rulers of north Africa that stated explicitly that the United States was not founded on Christianity. The pact, known as the Treaty with Tripoli, was approved unanimously by the Senate in 1797, under the administration of John Adams. Article 11 of the treaty states, "[T]he government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion…."

Do you know what the millennials call Clint Eastwood?

Ask the millennials about the Chinese Cultural Revolution. They think it was a great way to promote the arts and wonder why the US hasn't done it yet.

Ask them about Che Guevara. He was this really hot guy who rode around on a motorcycle and looks great on T-shirts.

They have the historical depth of a firefly, and are inspired by the same kinds of scam artists and psychopaths who left a trail of the blood of millions in the last century. Not that that matters, because most don't even know there was a last century.

Their ignorance doesn't make him wrong. It just makes them ignorant.

In your opinion.

Strongly as you believe, there is no hard proof. When it comes to religion and spirituality, your beliefs, my beliefs, namellama’s beliefs, jb’s beliefs, offthehandle’s beliefs, your neighbors’ beliefs ... or lack thereof... are ALL unproveable opinions.

Which is why religion has no place in our government.

There’s a big difference between a government based upon the secular implementation of the values a religion (or group of religions), vs one where a set of religious beliefs become law of the land and are imposed upon believers and nonbelievers alike.

I blocked JB, but was fortunate enough to see his posts today as I wasn't logged in. Not much changes.

The wording in that treaty is an early example of a US government giving in to antagonistic Muslim states. The Treaty of Tripoli was broken within a couple years, necessitating Jefferson's invasion of Libya. The quote that the USA was not "founded on the Christian religion" is the same kind of pandering we see today.

Of course it was founded on Christian principals. How many of the founding fathers were Muslim or Hindu or Buddhist? Doesn't matter a whit that Christianity is not mentioned in the constitution. Christianity was the bedrock of the fundamental values of the European settlers. The same way Christianity is the bedrock of the loony left today, ironically. They deny it, and they twist the values to their own ends, but they are undeniably Christian in nature. The self-righteousness, puritanism, and judgmental stridency of the left are mirror images of those on the extreme right. All very Christian-based.

I find it sad or just funny that people are so clueless as to where their own values come from. People from predominantly Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Buddhist states all reflect those religions, whether they regularly worship or not. The values are woven into the culture.
